Ah but you haven't said what you have available or what you have and haven't seen before (though it's probably all in the intro thread and I've forgotten).

I jump straight to second and sixth movies in that predictable manner of most non TOS experts. Outside of that then there are scenes I remember but can't always place them into episodes. For TOS advice, Bryan would be useful about now.

Did you watch all of Season 1 TOS, Jonno? If so, Season 2 is very solid with "Mirror, Mirror" "The Doomesday Machine" "Journey To Babel" "The Trouble with Tribbles" and "amok Time" Those are the highlights, IMO.

Well just finishing watching Wrath of Khan. Will post a topic about the things which I noticed. Why is Romulan ale Illigel? But will watch some tos too and post my thoughts

I was sort of took that to mean Romulan Ale was either very potent or was due to some kind of trade barrier, like not being able to buy Cuban cigars in the US.

Certainly from Worf's comment in Nemesis it's potency seems to put it into that category but I took it to mean a trade embargo of some sort. Given that there probably was no contact with the Romulans for a long time, however, I'm not sure why that would have been necessary.

Thought it might be something to do with trade. So heres a question for you. Considering there is no currency on earth by this point of the 23rd century how is trade possible?

My understanding was that the Federation still maintained a currency balance for trading with external societies, they just didn't use anything internally. Given that currency is still basically a glorified bartering mechanism, however, I'm not even sure that that would be strictly necessary.

When you're watching Second Two, check out The Immunity Sydrome.  It's another good one from the second season.

What a great episode tos 'the deadly years'. Makes you wonder how I will be when I get old. Will I age but still remain mentally sharpe. Or will I loose my mental abilities as I age. I felt sorry for Kirk when his command was taken off him as he didnt think he was getting old. Thanks guys for recommending it

I'd go out right away and buy seasons three and four of Star Trek:  The Next Generation.  Yesterday's Enterprise and the Best of Both Worlds parts 1 & 2 would make for a great night of viewing.

Oh yes. Those would get my vote too if TNG were on the table.

Well if you make it to season 3 of tos these would be my picks

The Enterprise Incident
The Paradise Syndrome
Spectre of the Gun
Day of the Dove
The Tholian Web
Wink of an Eye
The Empath
Let That Be Your Last Battlefield
The Cloud Minders
The Savage Curtain
All Our Yesterdays

season three is said to be a bit week but there is still some good episodes.

So cool you are taking some time to watch TOS episodes.  Speaking of season 3, it is hands down my favorite season, but I'm cheesy like that.  If I may suggest just one episode from that season, then I recommend "For the World is Hollow and I have touched the Sky" which is probably my favorite Trek episode ever.  Very Dr. McCoy heavy, with some great moments where he his concerned.  And Kirk doesn't get the girl in this one, but someone else does!  :ohbaby
