The director everyone either loves to hate or just hates for his stinkers like Postal and House of the Dead released a shocking trailer for his upcoming movie Auschwitz. The trailer shows the German born director himself casually leaning against the door of a gas chamber as Jews are about to be gassed. Then the loaded into ovens.
He says, "It's in the tradition of my movies Stoic, Darfur, Rampage, Tunnelrats, Heart of America...it shows Auschwitz as this what it was: a meatplant for humans...a death factory"
Though I am slightly interested in the subject matter itself (I thought the 70s mini series was very powerful), something this sensitive should defiantly be handled by someone who has made good films. Not a guy who challenged his critics to a boxing match and makes video games into awful movies.
Why is he making a movie? Because someone thinks he can make $$...
King
Perhaps he is trying to change his image and prove that he can direct a serious film?
