Guaranteed lively dinner topic: :-\
The film examines and contrasts, from a conservative viewpoint, the differences between "Reaganomics" and "Obamanomics" as American economic and governmental policies, as well as their respective impact on life in the United States of America, as summarized from film's official web site:

Two versions of the American dream now stand in sharp contrast. One views the money you earned as yours and best allocated by you. It champions the traditional American dream, which has played out millions of times through generations of Americans, of improving one's lot in life and the entrepreneurial spirit of daring to dream and to build big. The other believes that the federal government, using taxpayers' money, should play a major role in leveling out the nation's wealth to guarantee outcomes to all, regardless of effort. How America chooses between these two views of the role of government, at this crucial juncture, will have everything to do with the future we and our children and our children's children will enjoy.

What did he lie about? More importantly, what did he do that republicans didn't do or try to do before he ever got into office? I think it's crap honestly because the bailouts were started on the republican watch and continued on the Democrat watch. There are no innocent or guilty parties here. Had it worked like they wanted then the Republicans would have claimed credit and said it was their idea. It's all a bunch of finger pointing and I'd advise anyone that wants to follow politics to actually follow politics. The latest sound bites are not politics.
Learn about what's going on and how everyone is voting. Not just now, but in the past as well. There is really little difference between the two parties. Both talk mean games, but in the end everyone settles for pretty much the same thing.
Congress didn't lie about anything. Everything is transparent and available if you choose to actually look into what's going on. When the economy is crumbling, you have to change your game plan. That's common sense.
If you are planning on building an extension to your house and it falls down, you rebuild your house. You don't build the extension because you told people that's what you were planning on doing with the money.
And King, you of all people should feel a little happy that they are investing a good chunk of that money they are spending into student aid. Now if you haven't used a dime of student aid or grants, or farm subsidies, then more power to you, but I'm sure that there are people around you that have needed those very same things.
It's all crap. Republicans talk about small government, yet made tons of new departments and expended trillions on wars on two fronts during Bush.
It's all the damned same, just people picking a side to attack when their side does the same crap.
I feel sorry for the country that so many smart people are still buying into this crap of blame or calling people liars.
Let's keep it real and actually look at everything instead of what people pick and choose to tell you.

It's all the same people! Start doing the research instead of following the propaganda for any side.
Very well said X..
I am not sure what to say X. I removed my post because it was nothing but ranting and anger and sadness.
When I referred to Congress, I was talking about all parties, not just democrats. I personally consider myself unaffiliated because I trust no party. I trust no politician. I trust no government.
I look at a financial future in darkness, full of debt and little hope. The only reason I don't go insane is because I surround myself with good thoughts and friends. It's the only way any of us are going to survive this depression we are still in.
