Title: Carbonite backup
Post by: Rico on October 09, 2010, 08:02:31 AM
Anyone ever use Carbonite as a computer backup solution?  I think Leo over on the TWIT podcast is wearing me down.  I might sign up for the free 15 day trial.  I tend to backup to DVD once in awhile, mainly photos, but I don't do it as often as I should.  Plus all the DVD's are just sitting in my house.  Need a more permanent solution.  And something that is fairly automatic that I don't have to mess with a lot.  Anyway, might give this a whirl.

I don't use it but I think Leo is wearing me down as well. It sounds like a good inexpensive solution!

That's funny.  I've been thinking about using Corbonite for a couple of months now.  I have an external hard drive, but I need something off site.  I ripped a 1000 cd's last summer and really don't want to do that again.  I listen to to TWIT weekly and Leo has been wearing me down as well.  I'll put that on my things to do list.

Anyone read the eula on this service? How does it protect you?
