I'd like to see it. :) And the uniforms made the transition to live-action very well.
Awesome!!! Star Blazers is one of my all time favorite shows. I watched this after school everday when I was supposed to be doing homework. Could not get enough of it. I even built the models of the various space ships that were out. I was into studying WWII at that time and was thrilled to see the Yamato, the biggest battleship ever built in the world, revived as a space ship, mankind's last chance for survival. I liked it even more than Star Wars and still do.
I've been following the upcoming movie as much as possible and I can't wait to see it. Wish it would come to the theaters here, but I'll settle for a DVD.

I remember when I was a kid, watching this cartoon. It was my all time favorite and always thought it would make a great live action movie. I'd LOVE to see this!!
I only recall seeing 2 of the series on TV - The Gamelons & The Comet Empire. I later saw a bit of the Bolar Wars on Netflix - but nothing beyond that.
