Since it's a fairly recent series, my goal with this podcast was to give the overall basics of the show, plays some clips and entice people to check it out for themselves. I didn't want to spoil anything major that's coming for those that haven't seen it. Hope you enjoy it.
Great Cast Rico! Amy and I enjoyed it. She is the Legend of the Seeker fan! I may have to watch it now!
That was a lot of fun! I never watched, perhaps I will at some point. Bruce Spence not only was in "The Road Warrior", he was also in "Revengo of the Sith" and LOTR "Return of the King" in a dleeted scene as the Eye of Sauron. He's had a great career as a character actor.
Yeah, Bruce is great on the show. I think you and Jamie would both like it. Very romantic series. And I know how you like New Zealand. You can stream it via Netflix too! :)
Great show! I hadn't seen this when it was on and it seems very compelling.
Yeah, it is a compelling and fun series. As I said on the podcast, maybe one of the best fantasy TV series I have ever seen. Season two cast pic below:
Good podcast, Rico. I've never watched this series either, but the podcast has got me interested now. I will be checking this out!
Glad so many people are interested in watching the show, cause it really is a great series. There's really lots to love about it. I'm sure all you guys will enjoy it.
Just added season 1 to my DVD rental list. Season 2 doesn't seem to be available there yet.
I can't say I'm a great fantasy genre fan (other than LotR) but this sounds like it might be quite interesting so thanks for pushing it in our direction. I've been aware of it for ages but never particularly motivated to actually try watching it.
I'm happy you guys are going to give it a try. I think there is something for everyone to enjoy in this series. Heck, I could watch it with the sound off just for the attractive scenery. Let me know what you think after you see some episodes.
I'm going to stream it on Netflix. That is cool. Amy and Andrew watched the whole thing already.
Very good podcast! You told me enough to make me interested in the series, without spoiling it. I like how you focused on the series premiere episode. It's in my NetFlix instant queue now.
Having added season 1 to my disc queue, I'm now told it's 'Reserved' which means I won't be seeing it anytime soon. I guess a lack of season 2 availability may not be a problem for a while :(
SyFy (in the UK) are going through season 1 daily starting on Monday. I'm not sure my DVR's got the disc space but I may try and catch it.
