Title: 3D software anyone?
Post by: davekill on September 19, 2010, 07:32:26 AM
Anyone use 3D software for modeling or animation?

Using Poser 7, I put together a 88 second spoken introduction for a video project I'm working on.
Raytraced using three lights, one long slow camera move, one speaking figure and a mapped obj. file imported from Max.
2586 frames at 30 fps.
30 hours later and it's still rendering - arggg...!!!

I've played around a little with Poser and Daz3d too.  Not easy programs to pick up and use.  But they sure produce some awesome results.  Love to see your final work sometime Dave.

I use Poser's talk designer to make intros for training videos at my work.
I'd love to own an OptiTrak motion capture system.
