So, .co domains are now out there and available. Has anyone dived into these? I hear they have been selling like crazy. Maybe I should at least grab my main site. Anyway, just curious. Thoughts??
I'd say you should try nd grab treksf.co just to be safe. Which TLD's do you own? I figure you should snatch up all the big ones (.net, .org, .tv, etc).
I don't want to know what would be on treksf.xxx! :D
Man, I hope we don't see another .com bust! :)
This just sounds like the registrars selling extra domains that are not really needed to generate more revenue, a way to get people who already registered a domian to buy more of the same thing. I guess to perserve your space on the internet, you have to cover off all possible domains, at least the cost is not all that high. I guess like anyother business, it is all about growth these days.
I have mixed feelings about it. I have treksf.com, treksinscifi.com, treksinscifi.net as the main ones. I have some others too like jobforahero.com and radvisions.com. I don't really want to buy a bunch more domains every time they add an extension. However, something like .co I can see as being maybe important. Obviously all it takes is for one character to be left off when people type your domain in so it's very close to .com. Anyway, I'll probably grab some with godaddy.com.
yeah I would definitely do it with treksf.com and treksinscifi.com, also radvisions if you are getting some work out of it. Also .tv is decent branding for anything new media (such as the podcast)
we used godaddy for our company (Joyce and I have a small video productions company) and they were great. Easy to use and tech support was good.
I actually just did a new website for a company via radvisions.com. And yes, I like godaddy.com. And you can get a discount on them with codes I happen to have on the main website. ;)
:) Gotta love discounts! Hey, I'm Scottish, I was BORN looking for discounts :)
