I know a lot of the forum is American but some might be able to get hold of "The IT Crowd" episodes through various means. There was a nod to Trek in the episode that aired over the last weekend that was pretty funny (Series 4, episode 6). A "sex tape" that wasn't explicit at all, just cringe-funny (all the characters apart from the protagnist were female versions). I would say it was the highlight of an otherwise weaker episode actually, there have been stronger ones this season.
For those not familiar with the "IT Crowd", the entire show is a well observed geek-fest; think of a character based Office Space set in the UK with surreal, fantasy and sci-fi leanings. It can be quite rude, so if particularly sensitive to creative language etc then perhaps not for you. Otherwise if you have the chance check it out.

I love the IT Crowd. I watched it on Netflix Instant Watch, we just haven't got Series 4 yet, but I'll be watching it on Netflix soon as it is available. And all the previous series are available there for us Americans.
