Some cool news from Comic Con about "Chuck" for next season. The biggest being that Linda Hamilton will be showing up as Chuck's mom. Some other stuff has been announced too. Read on:
Chuck' it out: 'Terminator' tough gal Linda Hamilton is joining the NBC spy comedy in the recurring role of badass Mama Bartowski.
'Chuck' Me! NBC Announces Fall Premiere Dates
Explaining the character's introduction, which was teased in the season finale, series boss Josh Schwartz told the Comic-Con crowd on Saturday, "'Chuck' fans have long wondered about the circumstances surrounding Chuck and Ellie's mysterious mother, Mary Bartowski, who disappeared from her children's lives when they were still young."
Hamilton's appearances as Mary will in turn lead Chuck "to discover that her life was shrouded in secrets. She was a spy, a CIA agent ... and that's just the beginning," Schwartz teased. "Who is she today? One thing is certain: She's not the soccer mom who left her children so many years ago."
'Chuck' Welcomes Olivia Munn, Brings Back Nicole Richie
Hamilton will first appear in the September 20 season premiere – the same episode guest-starring Olivia Munn as a CIA agent code-named "Greta" and 'Rocky IV' Russkie Dolph Lundgren as a big bad.
TV's 'Chuck' Goes Toe-To-Toe With 'Rocky' Foe
More 'Chuck' intel from the Comic-Con panel revealed that in the wake of the Buy More's season-ending destruction... the electronics mecca will be back, but now owned and operated by Uncle Sam. That's where "Greta" comes in: A rotation of guest stars, starting with Munn and followed in Episode 2 by Old Spice pitchman Isaiah "I'm On A Horse" Mustafa, will play the Buy More cover operation's overseer. And be they female or male, they'll go by "Greta."

Well that's exciting, Sarah Connor as Chuck and Ellie's mother. I'm sure that will be fun.
I am really excited that Chuck is getting another season and it is going to be cool to see what they do with Chuck now that it looks like he might be becoming a rogue agent with his own secret lair and stuff.
To tell you the truth I loved the last season of Chuck but at the same time I could feel that it was winding down a bit at least in some of the middle episodes. Although I loved the paris episodes I would not have been surprised if it had been cancelled although I might have been tainted a bit because I follow the ratings for shows a lot.
Anyways I do like how they left it and I think it could breathe new life into the series. I wish it all the luck in the world it is good quality television. MORGAN GRIMES FOREVER MAN!! WOOT!!
Short little sneak preview peek for the new season.

I liked the season opener quite a bit. Lots of fun "Chuck" style moments in it too. Cool to see the guest stars they had in this one. Hope we get to see more of them. Especially Olivia Munn....
I really enjoyed the return, I'm so glad Chuck is back. And all the guest stars in the episode, anybody else notice that the repo man was Brett from Alien (Harry Dean Stanton), apparently as I found he was in a movie called Repo Man I would assume that's were the reference came from though I've never seen it, but I did recognize him from Alien.
Yep, good old Harry Dean Stanton. Has he always looked crazy? LOL! It was a good start to the season. Dolph saying "I must break you" was fun too!
Harry Dean Stanton on Chuck? Wow...this guy is one of the best actors in the world, and has always enjoyed the respect of major film critics. He played a total crazy man in a great role on the HBO show Big Love (recently deceased unfortunately but seems to continue to return in flashbacks and ghostly sequences as he haunts his equally insane son), which I don't recall being discussed here but is one of my favorite continuing series currently.
There are a lot of film celebs turning up more and more on TV. Matt Damon is guesting again on "30 Rock" this week (great series too). It's fun to see people like this on weekly TV too.
Here's some cool news!
It's not a back nine pickup, but as far as welcome Chuck news goes I'll happily take it: Summer Glau has signed on to guest star as the show's newest Greta!
The Sarah Connor Chronicles siren and EW Sexiest Beast finalist has been tapped to play the Buy More's rotating undercover agent in this season's eighth episode, sources confirm to me exclusively.
Other upcoming Gretas include Stacy Keibler and Isaiah Mustafa. Olivia Munn originated the role in Monday's season premiere (and was hilarious).
Glau will next appear opposite David Lyons in NBC's midseason drama The Cape.

Thought this was a cool little poster for "Chuck."
Is it just me, or was that one Buy More dude in the most recent episode the actor who did all those Old Spice Commercials?
If that isn't him, I'm losing it then....

Yep. More guest stars this week like last. Also Lou Ferringo too! The old TV Incredible Hulk.
I thought that was really cool. I'm glad the Buy More guys are back.
"Chuck" is such a fun show. I try to never miss it.
Chuck has been pretty good so far this season. Look who is showing up on episode 8.
Chuck gets 11 more episodes for season 4!!! Glad to see NBC backing an actually good show.

Did everyone see Summer on this week's "Chuck" playing Greta? Awesome! Loved the quick scene with her and Adam too. Like a mini-Firefly reunion. Had a few nice in-jokes too in their dialogue. Good stuff!
Man, Summer looks like a skeleton in that picture above. Eat a couple cheesesteaks or something, woman!

It's not the best pic. She looked great in the episode!
I need to get back into Chuck, it dropped off my short list of shows to watch at the beginning of this current season. So little time so many shows!
It's been pretty cool this season. Lots of fun guest stars too.
Fun stuff. Linda H. was a good choice to play Chucks mom. There is enough similarity to Elle that she's believable at the genetic level. It would have been nice to see Summer Glau in her role as Greta make some sort of Firefly reference. It could have been as simple as a Chinese phrase.
Chuck is back again. It was a great return tonight from the few week break. A little bit of Jeffster and so excited for next week.
In case you had a desire to see the Buy More Jeffster rock duo sing their Blaze of Glory song, in its, well, full glory. Here, enjoy.

Liked this return episode. I actually thought Chuck was finally going to pull off his "sub-mission." Fun stuff!

We're just gonna have to wait a little longer for that I guess.
I really enjoyed Monday's show. One of my favorites of the series!!! I loved how they did the ending!!!!
Yeah it was a great episode from yesterday. I loved the Settlers of Catan reference. Such a great geeky show.
And the baby, and the proposal. I can't wait to see where all this is gonna be going.
Yep - I really liked this recent episode of "Chuck." One thing they have shown over time is that Chuck is really smart and a pretty good leader. They need to continue that trend. That really is his biggest asset - not just the Intersect. Loved the last few minutes too. Great stuff!
Thought this last weeks episode of Chuck was pretty good. And there was a certain scene with Sarah that I didn't mind one bit.

Could it be, this scene? ;)
Chuck & Sarah - Belly Dance. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z0owjNn0Ths#ws)
When I saw that I said "HELLO, SWEET SUSAN!!!!" I don't know who Susan is, but thats what I said!
Yes that would be scene I was thinking of.
Another great episode of "Chuck" last night! The Cat Squad was interesting.
I liked how the Amy ended up being the bad one. And I thought Lou Diamond Phillips did a good job even though his part wasn't very big. Of course its only an hour show. And when Sarah asked Chuck's sister (whose name escapes at the moment) to be the maid of honor was really cool.
Great show!
Fun episode this week, even if I figured it out pretty quickly. But, my one big question is --- Who were all those people at the engagement party at the end? Seemed like a lot of people for Chuck and Sarah who seem to both have few family and friends outside the circle we see each week. I know it was kind of for show, but it seemed a bit overboard.
Maybe it was folks from the apartment complex they live at?
Yeah, I kind of thought about that too. But do they really know those people? Just a little thing, but I thought it was kind of amusing. Especially since one of the points of the episode was that Sarah doesn't have many friends. And where was Jeffster!?! ;)

It's been done like that before. When Chuck has a party, his sister usually invites friends from work. I think that it's plausible that Chuck and Sarah has been social with them before off screen. I think there is a chance that some of those people might also be agents at the buy more or even people Sarah are "friends" with in her cover ID.
Yeah, I know. It always just seems funny to me and "very TV" too. It's a party, call "Extras are Us!" ;)
I wonder how well that would pay? Casting director (if thats what their called) to extra "How would you like to get paid to go to a party!"
Kenny knows about this, but I believe if you are designated as "officially an extra" the pay is a set rate per day. Not sure how much. A few hundred maybe.
A few hundred!! That doesn't sound too bad to stand around and be on TV!
Another good episode of Chuck.
I really liked the part with Morgan and Chuck with the Han Solo & Chewbacca action figures. They were cool. But the way they seperated them was kinda sad. The wife didn't get it till i explained it to her. Also when they ended up in the baby's room, that was cool. Because she won't be alone like Ellie said.
Great episode of Chuck this week.
Looks like we have a new villain on the show.
That seemed a bit off to me.
Volkov's daughter seemed like a nice girl, why would she pick up the bad-guy torch? I'm guessing we'll find out, but it just seemed a bit forced to me.
Yeah, I didn't think that was going to happen. Kinda out of the blue.
Really?
I was getting the villainess vibe early on in the episode. I don't know, just got the feeling that's where it was going.
Well,...
Yeah, I got the vibe that was where they were going with it by bringing in Volkov's daughter but it still didn't ring true to me. I mean the daughter seemed nice and completely unaware of what her father was all about. I suppose we will see just how far she goes down the darkside path sometime soon.
Yeah I could be wrong. We're just gonna have to watch and see what happens I guess. Definitely exciting though.
I missed it completely. I just didn't see it coming.
I saw it towards the end, but too little information to really say at this point.
King
Yeah I can't say for sure...
but I was seriously getting the hints that she is going that way. I had most of the episode predicted out from nearly act 1. So I may have jumped to quick to assuming, but we shall see.
I think it was pretty obvious
First, she has a party where no one knows who she is and she denies her ID. This suggests that she has a secretive nature. Second, she was trained from birth for the role and it shows in her training. The way she shot the bad guy suggest a serious ability to not only be deceptive, but to take a life. Lastly, this is the final gift from her father that has been a part of her since she was a child. Now the only question is what she will do with that power. Inheriting a powerful company doesn't mean she will go evil. She might go freelance.
As I said before, I also noticed things too. My point is like you mention, what she do with her new empire.
Another great episode last night, but now...
I really want to know what Casey is up to.
Man is this a good show. I am getting a little tired of Lester and Jeff though.
So Vulkovs daughter wasn't bad to start the show and then the guy who played the devil shows up trying to and maybe succeeding in turning her to the dark side. I also really liked the part where Sarah was wearing that tight leather! Hello, Sweet Susan!!! And when she was looking for her dress. That was a well done scene. And Morgan moving in with Casey?? I thought he would end up moving in with his girlfriend.
Just watched this one too - via Hulu. Fun episode.
I'm still not quite buying that Volkov's daughter is going all darkside - yet. We'll see. Sarah did look good in the wedding dress and black leather. The leather outfit looked a lot like the outfit she wore a few weeks back when she worked with Volkov. Very Matrix-ish!

Yeah we still don't know for sure where Vivian's allegiance will fall. I have just been getting strong feelings towards it. We don't really have a new baddy yet for this second half of the season. It should be interesting however it plays out.
Preview for the episode coming on March 14th.

The Greta's are back!
Last nights episode of Chuck was pretty good. Though I think I called it...
Vivian being the new villain I mean. I just had the feeling from the first moment we met her on the show.
Great show again on Chuck.
I loved it when she double crossed her Dad! And it was disturbing to see Morgan and Casey acting alike when they were eating breakfast.
Fun episode but,...
I still don't get why the daughter wants to be all evil now. Just because daddy wasn't around when she was young? Vivian seemed pretty normal when we first met her. It just seems a bit too easy for her to just become the new baddie. I'm enjoying what's going on with Chuck's sister more. The new intersect??
I loved this episode so much.
It was awesome seeing Sarah's dad back again. That was one of my favorite episodes from back season 2. He's such a great character. The ending was just perfect. I think we can be pretty well assured that the finale is gonna be the wedding and to be honest I can not wait for that. It's gonna be so awesome.
I really enjoyed this weeks episode. Better than the last couple.
I also like the Gary Cole character of Sarah's dad. He does do a great job. And when they lied to the general to get extra help finding their wedding planner, awesome. And when she fould the piggy bank on the bed, awesome. Gary Cole has to be back for the wedding!!
Fun episode this week. Two favorite parts...
Sarah showing Chuck how he looks when he flashes and Chuck trying to do a fake flash. And I loved Sarah doing that funny Brooklyn(?) accent for the wedding planner.
This whole episode was so fantastic. I think what I love most about this episode is that the feel of the show was classic Chuck, but also felt like how it's becoming. The show has always been great at changing, but it still feels like Chuck. It was a perfect blend for the show in this episode. This is why I love Chuck so much.

Agreed. I laughed so many times in this episode for some reason. Twas quite the epic Chuck show. :)

:'( No Chuck today.
What's with the schedule of Chuck. How come it seems like it's off for a week then is comes back and then we don't have it again. It's starting to drive me nuts. Monday nights are supposed to be Chuck nights till the season is done. Should be new on Monday according to schedule so I can't wait for that.
Looks like 3 "Chuck's" to go for the season - all in a row starting next week.
http://www.tvcountdown.com (http://www.tvcountdown.com)
Good, cause I'm getting a little tired of clearing my schedule to watch it at 8 and finding it's not on. Anyhow can't wait to see them.
3 Chucks in a row. Awesome!!
Enjoyed last nights Chuck.
I really liked what Chuck said when Sarah was in the bathtub. She said she was bathing that way so Chuck wouldn't forget what he was missing and he said Thats not going to happen.Funny! I probably didn't get the quote exactly right.
I really need to watch yesterdays episode. I'm behind on all my shows. Where has all my free time gone. I'll maybe get a chance tomorrow, if not then maybe Thursday or Friday.
Ok so I finally got around to watching Chuck and this was a pretty fun episode. Looks like everything is ramping up for the finale.
And big surprise,
So this Agent X is Vulkoff, that's interesting. I really want to see how this is going to play out.
Yeah, that was an interesting twist, Sheppard.
I'm sure we will see it play out in the last 2 episodes. Gosh the season is almost over. I certainly hope it gets renewed.
News we've all been waiting for. Chuck get a season 5!!!

:thumbsup Awesome, I love this show!
Next season will be the last season for "Chuck" - but at least they can plan for it. The show will also be moving to Friday night, at 8pm (7 CST). But, we still have this season's finale tomorrow night to see!
Moving to Friday! I liked starting off my week with Chuck. Oh well. At least they will be able to finish it the right way.

So you've got what you wanted? A series that gets a chance to close things out properly? Neat. It's such a rarity.
Man - that was an awesome "Chuck" season finale tonight! Loved it!
Oh, I have to mention how great Zachary and Timothy Dalton were last night. They really both pulled out all the stops and went for it. Anyway, found this little video on Youtube of Yvonne's audition for the series. Thought it was kind of cool and fun to look back at it now and how perfect they cast the role of Sarah.
Yvonne Strahovski auditions for Chuck (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VFA6pedMdEs#ws)
Well I can say I did not see that ending coming, but the final 13 episodes of the next season should make for a wild ride to the end.
I just finished Chuck earlier today...wow, that was. Epic.
although to be honest it got old that they used another plot device to remove the intersect. For being such a "powerful" tool, it sure can be negated fairly easily.
Volkoff or....Hersetch? Was great this episode. Thumbs up for the performance.
Oh boy, we gave the intersect to Morgan, that was a surprise...the end of the world is coming....o_O heh heh, but it'll be interesting to see how Chuck takes that.
The "We've been controlling your lives" sounds like an interesting plot point for the 13 episodes next season so that should make Chuck interesting. Glad its not just another villain.
What can I say, it was a great finale. Glad it wasn't another
shoot em up wedding
. That helped it out and Sarah and Chuck were really great this episode.
So sad that next season is the last season...such a great show coming to an end.
King
I really need to watch the finale. It's to bad I can never use the TV, the guy I live with just plays Call of Duty every waking hour. When I have the free moment to watch TV I still can't, but the Chuck finale is calling my name. I may have to kick him off the TV later so I can watch it.
So I just finished the finale and I did not see that coming at all.
Morgan as intersect. Chuck is a show I can frequently predict pretty well. I tend to know where the season or episode is going to go, but that I definitely did not expect.
Wow I can't wait till next season.
Side note: They wrapped up everything so well right there up before the very end. Makes me curious if they have an alternate ending for if they got canceled.
I watched the finale on Monday but just got on here today. I really really liked the finale. Great story and great wedding. However I do wish that the wedding was a little longer since that was something most Chuck fans were waiting for.
Sheppard interesting thought on them having an alternate ending. I'm so glad they have a way to finish the series how they want. To bad we have to wait till fall.
I liked that Vulkov gave them all that money and now Chuck and Sarah own the Buy More. I also liked the part when Morgan called Sarah Mrs. B. That was cool. I would have liked to see Chuck go all intersect on that CIA guy too. But I guess we cant have everything. I also really liked Sarah's vows those were so...mushy! Loved it!I also was surprised about Morgan getting the intersect. But can't Chuck just put on the glasses and get it himself?
The wife even came down and watched most of it with me because she wanted to see them FINALLY get married. She also found this link on the net.
