Title: Fear Itself
Post by: alanp on June 10, 2010, 08:11:35 PM
I hope there wasn't already a thread about it, I don't remember seeing one.  Has anyone seen this show?  I saw it on Netflix but apparently it ran for a summer on NBC.  It's a Horror anthology sort of like the Starz show Masters of Horror where horror movie directors would direct a one hour piece but things were toned down for network TV.  Which didn't at all hurt the stories.  The one John Landis did for example was shot like a Hitchcock film and had a great twist in the end.

There are a couple of clunkers in there but the best ones where where two girls and a ouija board contact their dead classmate and try to solve her murder, a private investigator with a dark secret is hired to spy on a haunted house, a family man is spirit exchanges places with a serial killer, and one where a rookie cop is tasked with watching a canibal for a night before he is transfered into federal custody.

I don't think it ever got a second season which was a shame it was very solid.

I haven't seen it Alan, but it does sound interesting. If I get some time I'll check for it on HULU. Thanks.

I've seen a few episodes, but I missed most of the series when it was airing and only caught some of the last few. It was terribly promoted, I hadn't heard a thing about it till it was almost over.
