'Goonies' Getting Blu-Ray, Collector's Edition Releases For 25th Anniversary

"The Goonies" are back.
The iconic 80's adventure film is getting the star treatment for its 25th anniversary, with a first-time Blu-ray release and an Ultimate Collector's Edition due November 2.
The film's traditional DVD has moved 5.5 million copies since its initial release.
The Ultimate Collector's Edition box includes a "Goonies" board game, collectible storyboard prints, a 1985 souvenir magazine and a 2009 Empire Magazine article on the cast and Richard Donner and Steven Spielberg, who directed and produced the cult classic, respectively.
Beyond its distinguished creative team, the film featured a number of future Hollywood stars, including Josh Brolin, Corey Feldman, Sean Astin, Martha Plimpton and Kerri Green.
Bonus features will include deleted scenes, a "Making of" documentary, commentary from Donner and the entire cast, and the Cyndi Lauper music video, "The Goonies 'R Good Enough."
Along with the anniversary releases, Warner Home Video is also kicking off "The Goonies 25th Anniversary Great Treasure Hunt Sweepstakes," with a grand prize winner to be chosen in November. For more info on the contest, visit www.thegooniesmovie.com (http://www.thegooniesmovie.com).
