Put up some pics finally of the new apartment in Rockford. A couple below and more at my Flickr link here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/treksf/ (http://www.flickr.com/photos/treksf/)
Well, it looks functional enough. I don't know how you are doing it Rico. I would not be able to live away from my wife most of the year. No jon would be worth that to me personally. I'd change careers first.
Kevin
It takes two very secure people to do it. Lynn has been great and is coming for a visit in two weeks. And I firmly believe this will all pay off in the long run.
I know what Kevin is saying. While I would be fine working away from home, it's something that my wife would never agree to. We'd had to decide where we wanted to live as a family and go from there.
Circumstances and things can change. But anyway, what do you guys think of the new place?
Where's the enterprise replica? :)
Nice looking Pics Rico, looks like you have settled in. I like your Star Trek Wall Decals, helps personalize your living space a bit for you.
Must be the design of the days when the apartment was built, but you dont see those Arabian style doorways much these days, not sure what the reasoning for them back in the day was.

Have a small one in the bedroom. Need to take it out of the box still! ;)
Have you checked the listings for Star Trek reruns?
I like the living room setup but that may just be jealousy of the fact that you have space and ability to have a permanent desktop setup with the same sort of priority in the room as the TV.
It does look very bright though. How does that work out for screen use (and temperature - if it's bright I guess it's airy too).
The brightness is deceiving and due to the camera a bit. If you notice none of the windows are directly opposite the TV or computer - so I get no glare. These pics were the middle of the day too. Plus my computer Dell monitor is a very good one. Mike - if you looked at the other pics on Flickr you would be shocked at all the room. I have one extra bedroom with just junk in it right now. Might make it an art room and start drawing some again. The thing is this place didn't really cost anymore than smaller places. That's why I looked hard for awhile to find the right spot. Only bad thing really here in the apartment is the windows are in pretty bad shape. Just hard to open and close and most have some cracks. But I'm up on the second floor so it's fairly secure. Getting more settled in each day.
Looks very nice, but as I think I 've said before - that wall is crying out for the 'Dogs Cheating At Poker' poster! :)
Nice place Rico! My wife and I are originally from back east (Cleveland, Ohio and Greenfield, Indiana) but now live in Phoenix. Seeing your pics kind of makes me miss the way houses are designed back there. Good luck with everything! Al
Dad, clean your dishes. Dirty dishes do not just get put in the sink.

Those are clean dishes. They are washed in the drainer/holder. I'm not some college kid with dirty dishes and beer cans everywhere. LOL! ;)
You just hid the beer cans. :)
Do we need a moderator to step in here and stop this becoming a domestic dispute? :D
Rico moderates the moderators :)
But who moderates the moderator moderating the moderators...err, huh? :)
Looks like a nice open, light apartment. Awesome !!!
I still think Rico should rent a place above a garage...just like the Fonz.. :)
(Happy Days - TV reference for those too young...or too European ... to recall schlock 70's US TV) :)
