I just came across a site where someone came up with character designs for a Star Trek animated series:

It'd be interesting to see the original series re-done in a modern animation style.

I actually came across it while looking at Ralph McQuarrie's Star Trek conceptual paintings.

Nice profile photo. I used to love Thunderbirds as a kid.

I'd definitely watch a animated Trek series done in that style.
