Just got up Jedi Jeff's special guest hosted podcast on "The Time Tunnel." I'm really looking forward to listening to this since this is one of the Irwin Allen series I only saw some of the episodes. Thanks very much to Jeff for taking the reins this weekend for what I know will be another great guest spot by Jeff once again. Enjoy the show and make sure to come back here and give Jeff your thoughts.

Cool! I loved this show as a kid (I saw it in re-run so stop your snickering!)
Jeff, yet another great informative and excellent podcast! You do such an in depth coverage of your subjects that I feel learn a ton. I now have to go back and watch this series. I used to watch it with my Grandpa Moyer on his console TV. I thought it very interesting to find out about how the series changed from historical to more of a science fiction element in the plotlines. Thanks for the great clips too. WOW. Great, great Job.
Thanks Rico for letting Jeff host, I always enjoy his contributions. That is what I love about your podcast, it feels so community. Oh and Jeff- Cool contest too, if I didn't already have Peg Warmers I would have emailed you! :) Give this one a listen folks, great cast for us Geeky TV folks!
Jeff,
Nice job.
Thanks for the kind words guys :)
jedijeff, that was a nice look back at a show that I had not seen in years.
On TV way before great shows like Quantum Leap and Stargate SG1, could The Time Tunnel just have been (excuse the pun) ahead of it's time?
I found this cool illustration of the massive underground Time Tunnel complex at:

That design further inspired the temporal conduit featured in Star Trek Enterprise two part episode "Storm Front"
Well that was a awesome episode, well done Jeff I loved the clips, the interviews with the two main actors and you did a great job presenting solo.
I remember the programme but now want to watch more.
Great stuff.
Thanks Guys for the Comments,
Thanks for Posting the picture Dave, that is a good representation of the Time Tunnel, that is a cool piece of Trivia about the Design from the Enterprise Episode being inspired by the time tunnel.
The interviews were on the DVD's, so I grabbed a few as they had some interesting things to say, so thought it would be cool to include. I have an appreciation for what Rico and Yourself Meds have to go through for each podcast you guys produce. Certainly a lot of research that has to be done for some of these shows, especially the older ones.
An excellent episode Jeff. I finally got to it today and really learned a lot.
I must have seen at least one episode at some point in my life but other than a mental image of the control room, I have no real recollection of the show.
Thanks for the good overview, some of the episodes sound like particular fun although I share your issue over the ability to send the travellers to a specific point in time. I thought exactly the same as you described it.
Thanks Mike for your comments. When I was going through the Episodes, I did feel that they never adequately proved to me that they could not retrieve Tony and Doug. There were a few other Episodes where they sent people or items back in time, or had them come back to the control room, but somehow unable to get the travellers back, so felt it was worth noting.
Thanks for the podcast, competition and prize @jedijeff - it arrived this morning in overcast Guildford.
Thought I would finally get around to signing up (listened for years) so I could publically say "cheers!" :0)
welcome Paul!
Happy the DVD arrived Paul, and welcome to the forums
The last time I drove down the A3, Guildford was in Surrey (yet your profile says Hampshire)!
Welcome anyway :luke.

Q: This is Bolton, is it?
A: (with a fake mustache) No, it's Ipswitch.
Q: (looking at the camera) That's inter-city rail for you.

I work in Guildford and live in Alton, 20 miles away. A3+A31 across the Hogsback. Alton is in Hampshire, though I spend enough time at work that I may as well say Surrey.
Who knew I would come under such scrutiny in my first post? Honoured and a little scared all at the same time :0)
