In 2 months, my contract with Verizon will expire. I'm not sure which phone, plan, provider to choose next.
My main purposes for the phone are talking, texting and photos, bluetooth. Don't care much for 3G unless its included.
Thought I would inquire what everyone else uses/likes.
iPhone. Just get it you know you want to. Or wait for the new iPhone and then show off l)
I have nothing but good things to say about my iPhone as well.
Anything but an iPhone! Google the Nexus One. :)
Crazy talk ;)

Nice ST Generations reference by the way. The iPhone is the fire in which we all burn. :)
And I don't even have one... :(
iPhone is $30/month for web + $69/month for unlimited calls. :jawdrop
I already pay $100/month for cable. Scratch this one off my list.

Yep - that's what has kept me away from it too.
can you wait till June? The new iPhone may be out by then.
If they are offering a VERY special deal - like FREE with a 2yr contract for $70/month and no activation fee.

I'm afraid, for you, they don't have to offer that. When you have a winner, you don't make it bargain basement, that's a loser game.
iPhone. there has been a lot of speculation that the iPhone is coming to Verizon. If it does, i'm getting it. I hate my Voyager series since I got the iThingy. It doesn't even come close to its awesomeness.

*coff* tmobile plz *coff* I would love a new phone but im stuck with a prepaid phone that does not always receive texts, and calls. Oh boy. But Iphones and HTC phones seem great
I've had my Iphone since christmas and it still blows me away almost every day!! I'ts awesome having a bunch of sci fi show on there to watch any time I feel like it.
Anybody else playing angry birds?? Nathan Fillion tweeted about it and got me hooked.
Here's the phone I'm looking from Sprint. Sanyo Icognito. Like the "laptop feel" for texting. GPS, 2.0 camera, blah, blah, blah...
Honestly what you wrote was the best advertisement ever, you just said the facts.
Ok - changed my mind. Hate it when that happens. Stopped by the sprint store - camera is not available with the unit closed. The glass backlit is nice but then they showed me the Samsung Exclaim. Ohhhh myyyyy!!!!
May even pick one up this week because Sprint offers a 30-day-try-before-buy.
That's pretty close to my phone. I like having a slide out keyboard. I like it a lot.
Since I've found the iPod Touch, I just haven't been impressed with any phone on the market right now. The clunky UI, the poor hardware and the bad batteries other phones has just not really caught my attention. The other reason is that any time you use a "feature" of said phone, it charges you booku bucks to use it. That really irks me. So most of the "good phones" to me are never used for more than 1 or 2 features because it costs too much. Just...just very irritating.
The Droid has come close, but its still far behind. Its why I will more than likely be downgrading this year from my "good phone" to a cheap phone unless something catches my attention.
Btw, can ANYONE tell me about any phone that lasts for more than 1 call? Even my Voyager series barely survives two phone call before its dead batteries.

Hmmm...that's usually an issue with the battery. I have that problem on my laptop. Did you try draining the battery completely, reseating, etc?

Yeah, I really like that it opens both ways. My poor thumbs - they will never be the same again.
Cal/Jen (Carols kids) LOVE to text - like every 5 minutes.

Yep - mine does the same thing. Opens down for the # dialing keypad and to the side for the normal keypad for text. It's been a solid phone and the charge lasts for days. Camera is decent too - all the pics I've been posting since I've been in Rockford are off my phone.

I've never heard of that solution before, so I'm going to say no. I did buy a new battery for the phone and that worked only for a short time and its back to the same problem. I've also had the same problem on my previous phone, but it was a cheapo so it never really bothered me.
