I am a lifelong fan of Ted Nugent. He played the first rock concert I attend. I read his books, buy his albums, go to see his concert when he comes through, etc.
So a few years back, I went to his book signing at a Border's book store in Oklahoma City getting a book signed. Ted was very cool. There with his wife and son. I ask the guy behind me in line to take a picture and later put it on facebook.
So this week I'm browsing Facebook, and without even looking I see Shemane Nugent on someone else's friend list. Shemane is Ted's lovely wife. I sent her a friend invite so I could tag her in the picture.
I wake up the other day and my phone is notifying me that she left a comment on the picture. "That is actually our son Rocco, not Toby, in the background."
In the caption I had Rocco listed as Toby. Toby is Ted's older son from a previous marriage! For some reason, I was thinking that the youngest boy's name was Toby.
I felt so stupid, apologized, and corrected the caption.
Ouch!
At least it makes for a good story.
It all worked out well. She asked me to tag the son in the photo, I sent him an invite and tagged him as well. He liked the picture.
