I just finished watching The Scifi Channel mini-series Taken from my Netflix queue. On the first two or three episodes was Anton Yelchin who played Chekov on the new Star Trek movie. In Taken he plays the young Jacob, the half alien/ half human child. I was wondering if besides auditioning for the rolled he ended up with in Star Trek, if he considered the roll of Spock since he had experience playing a human/alien offspring?

Well it definitely would explain how he knows so much about starships at such a young age.
That was a great series. Maybe Rico(or someone else) can do a Treks in Scifi episode about it.
