It's been mentioned in the shoutbox but I'll start a thread if anyone wants to discuss. Scott, Brian and O have decided to end Extralife Radio (at least for the foreseeable furture). Here is Scott's blog post talking about it:

ELR is the first place on the internet I heard Rico talking about sci fi and brought me here. It has been one of my favorite podcasts for quite a few years and I'm quite sad to see it go.
I will of course continue listening to Scott's other projects, but ELR had a very special dynamic that will be hard to replace.
Bummer, I love ELR.

One of my favorite podcasts being closed?! *cries*. That really sucks, but I wish them the best.
Such a great podcast, now I gotta figure out a new one.
*EDIT* After reading it, I still don't understand why he's shutting it down. Its like he's seeing the end and decided to end it high. I understand why, but does he really think he's hit the top? I'm not understanding....

What did they cover?
This sucks. I mean if they hated doing it I'd understand but the show is always a winner.
They each may want to branch out into something different, maybe. It does really suck. Chris, they covered lot's of stuff from movies and TV to video games to tech to pop culture to online comics, a veritable potpourri of subjects every week.
He gets far greater numbers and ratings on his newer projects. A guy only has so much time in the day. I think that contributed to it.
WOW! Surprising to me in some ways, but not in others. ELR was the first podcast I listened too and I even guested on the show, contributed and it inspired me to start my own podcast and site. Scott's a great guy, loves Trek too and I know has a ton of ideas and only so much time. But I will miss ELR greatly.
