Just got the new podcast up. Hope you all enjoy it. Had to do a few little things different, due to the new setup, but most probably won't notice it. Anyway, fun episode to cover and thanks to those that sent in comments and stuff for this show. Enjoy!

A little. About a 90 minute show. At first I thought it was going to be a quick one, but after I started adding clips in it grew....
Just started in but had to break off. Sound quality so far is as good as ever in my ipodphones.
Great show Rico! I went on my walk and listened to it.
Here is the song for everyone to enjoy
http://www.christrocks.com/parody (http://www.christrocks.com/parody)
"You had just what we needed"
by Rick Moyer
Parody of The Cars song "Just what I needed"
The Enterprise is coming near
There's not a lot of time
Tricyanide is causing fear
It's upfront in our minds
We're glad you have Hytridium
it's volatile and rare
And I don't mind you coming here
You got here just in time
I don't mind your shuttle craft
The cargo Data gets
But on the final trip and back
It appears he blows to bits! Yeah
We can't believe our eyes just now
Our sensor readings on just how
The mystery just deepens here
Kivas Fajo's just in time
I guess you had what we needed
(just what I needed)
On Beta Agna Two
I guess you had what we needed
(just what I needed)
and just enough for us too.
You kidnapped Data with no tact
In a chair you want his pose, pose
Surrounded by the artifacts
Scent of gum it's in his nose, yeah
It's not the clothes he wants to wear
It's Varria that starts to care
A Varon T disruptor here
She's shot and disappears
I guess you had what we needed
(just what I needed)
On Beta Agna Two
I guess you had what we needed
(just what I needed)
and just enough for us too.
I guess you had what we needed
(just what I needed)
On Beta Agna Two
I guess you had what we needed
(just what I needed)
and just enough for us too.
I guess you had what we needed
(just what I needed)
On Beta Agna Two
I guess you had what we needed
(just what I needed)

Data, Data
Great show as always, the actor you mentioned David Rappaport was the main character in Time Bandits and appeared in all the Star Wars films.
My own annoyance at this episode is actor Saul Rubinkek, because the poor bloke always plays absolute shits. In the Equalizer he played a real pencil neck arse and in this he's a smug git lol. He plays being the bad guy so well obviously shows he's a good actor but he has a face you'd like to slap with a herring.
Great song from Rick, awesome as usual :)
Saul Rubinek does have a very distinctive face which is why I recognised him (from memory) after his recent Warehouse 13 exposure (he does play a good guy there, albeit a rather annoying and secretive one).
It was a good episode but I hadn't realised it was as early as season 3.
One other transporter wrinkle I didn't mention is that I believe ST went through a period where you were effectively frozen in the beam until full transport had completed. That's clearly not the case in TNG as they played against it a number of times but the actors always seem to freeze in place for the transport scenes so I'm never clear what the science is really intended to be.
Anyway, good podcast. It brightened up my Monday morning and I got to listen to my kids shouting in the background of my comment again :)

Ahh, I knew that name seemed familiar. Very sad story about David. Saul is a good actor, but yeah he does play some bad characters. I like his "Warehouse 13" character of Artie a lot. Seems a good fit for him.
In the queue right after TWIT! Looking forward to this one.
...and yes, I have an order that I listen to podcasts in. Mondays are TWIT (for news), TrekSF, The Instance.

Good podcast. One of my favorite episodes. Data's "I cannot allow this to continue" line reminded me of Presidents Obamas state of the union address Wed night :D
I don't often have the time to listen to podcasts, but I had to cause this is one of my favourite episodes! REally enjoyed it, thanks!

Saul's BEST role was in "True Romance" as...the totally smug producer git looking to score a ton of blow from Christian Slater! Great podcast and fun song, Ricj, I listened on my run today. I was never really sure, and I am still not, did Saul's character actually realize Data did pull the trigger? He doesn't reference it when they meet at the end.
