Title: Movie re-make of "UFO"
Post by: robbo1510 on December 29, 2009, 12:59:10 PM
Just got an e-mail from FilmSneak

"Joshua Jackson has been signed up to play Paul Foster in the remake of the 1970's TV show, UFO. In the original series, Foster ended up working for a group called SHADO - a secret organisation that had its base conveniently located beneath a film studio and was ready to do battle with any malingering extra-terrestrials. Gerry Anderson had it that Foster was a test-pilot who became aware of aliens and SHADO after a battle between the two damaged his plane. The show was riddled with moral ambiguity, which gave it a certain edge. We can only hope that director Matthew Gratzner devotes as much time to the characters as he will have to the special effects"
IMDB has a 2011 release date.

Can't wait for this as I really enjoyed the TV series.

I loved the original show - especially the cool space ships.  I loved the one fighter rocket that would carry a single rocket attached to it's nose.

That's going to cool.  Time to brush the dust off of that DVD set and watch the show again.

Cool idea!  This could work.  But they do need to keep the purple hair!  ;)
