Back before the internet (in those dark times) fans of Trek who wanted to write stories and/or create Trek artwork had to do it the old fashioned way. They would have to publish a fanzine. Fanzines were created and published by fans and could be found at conventions or sometimes ordered via mail. I picked up a few of these over the years and Rick Moyer sent me one recently. Now, keep in mind these things are all fan-made and sometimes can be a little cheesy. Some of the actual fiction writing isn't too bad. The images below are scans from the zine Rick found and sent me. The color image is the cover. I'm going to try and dig up some more of this stuff as it's fun to look back on now. If anyone else has anything like that, feel free to add to this thread.
Wow, those are great! Vintage stuff. Thanks for sharing, Rico.
Everything is better with unicorns! *lol*
Thanks for posting! :)
Hmmm...we should fire up the old mimeograph machine to make some copies..if I can only find that tin of solution.. Ah, there it is! Right under the 8-track player, and next to the LP player.
Our local used bookstore has quite a few of the old fanzines. They want an outrageous amount for them. Could be why they are still sitting in a box after several years.

That likeness of Kirk in the first one is actually quite good. It really does look like William Shatner. But yeah, what's the deal with the unicorn? I'd be interested in reading that story. The sketch Uhura is nice too.
Who is that moving in on Uhura in the 3rd pic?

My bet is on "ancestral ghost".
