James Cawley who heads up the Trek Phase II group (and plays Kirk on that series) is working on a new fan film series for "Buck Rogers." Filming and work has been going on for awhile now. He has even got Gil Gerard and Erin Gray to guest. Below is a poster and teaser for this upcoming web series.

That's a fan film? Not bad...that's Gil Gerard in the picture? Hardly recognize him.
Curses! I cannot see it from work. Anything with Erin Gray......ok in my book! I read she almost got the part of Janeway in Voyager (a better choice in my estimation).
It looks good. I'll definitely be watching it when it comes out.
That explains how he got Gil Gerard into a Trek shirt on a Phase II set.
If these are as good as those then I'll give them a watch.
Looks pretty good from what they have shown.. can't wait to see more. Do we know when it's going to premiere?

No set premiere date. Just sometime in 2010. I'll keep everyone posted.
This will be great! Love Buck Rogers.
I really dug Buck Rogers in the 25th century. It was so cheesey, but so cool at the same time. Man, the episode with the space vampire freaked me out. ewwww shudder!~
The ship looks nice but too hard to judge anything with what little is given in that clip. I'll check it out though as I am a fan of Buck Rogers. More a fan of the classic serial from the 1930s than I am a fan of the show though.

Cawley's productions are getting better and better. I'm looking foreward to checking this one out.
I'm more a fan of the Gerard series. I used love those one man fighters. I could never decid whether the BSG Vipers were better though.
This looks somewhat truer to the original. A bit more Flash Gordon like.

Yes, I think you are spot on - this seems more like the old Flash Gordon (Buster Crabbe days) - not the early 80's one. "Flash! Ah-ahhh! Save everyone of us!!"
Can't get the Queen song out of my head now....great.

Good Lord, I saw that in the theaters as a kid and despite being young I still knew it was sh$t.

Yes, even gratuitous glimpses of Ornella Muti can't save that stinker of a movie. I am a big fan of Max von Sydow, and Brian Blessed as well.
Now see here again we disagree but this time I'm on the pro side and you guys are against. I actually like the FG movie. It's campy and fun and crazy. But I admit I really like "B" movies and enjoy laughing at them and taking them for what they are. I had to buy it when it came out on DVD. Every once in a while I get a kick out of watching FG or Doc Savage or Batman (1966) just because they are so crazy. They always make me laugh.

It aired again here a few weeks ago and I couldn't resist watching. It's just SO over the top in so many ways - and Flash travels with an entire wardrobe of clean shirts!

Whenever I see Brian Blessed - I cannot help but think of him as Augustus from the old "I, Claudius" series (with Derek Jacoby, Patrick Stewart, Rhys-Davies...quite a cast!)
I went out and picked up the Buck Rogers DVD set after veiwing the Cawley trailer. Looking to working them in the near future.
Wow.. they released a scene with two very special guest stars.. This looks really good... can't wait.

Holy Toledo! Is that...
Erin Gray and Gil Gerard! I love it!!
..?
I'm really looking forward to this pilot/series. According to recent press releases it's slated for release in Sept. 2010.
wow, they got better as actors. :)
YEAH!!! That was pretty good! I love the old 30's adventure serials, especially Flash Gordon and Buck Rogers. It was great seeing Buck and Wilma together again ( ;D ). Also loved the first clip with the flying ship. This is right up my alley!
Has anyone heard anymore about this series.. need to do some investigating.
Hmmm i think that clip is awesome. me and Kell say Gill and Erin last year at a con and now i wished we asked them about it.
I did not know about this web series. I will have to check it out. I hope it is complete and watchable. I don't watch to many web series but I think I will concider this one.

Don't think they've got much more out on it - yet. Early stages still I think.

Wow, that would have been cool. My choices were between Linda Hamilton or Angela Basset.
