I love Christmas. Our tree and our picture for our card this year. :leiaxmas :vaderxmas :yodaxmas
Hey nice tree! Very Shiny... :vaderxmas

I know, Jamie and I get Christmas crazy and since it's a fake tree, we put it up nice and early. Also, we are away the whole week of Christmas, so we want to enjoy it while we are home. That sucker won't come down until sometime around the Super Bowl.. ;)
I don't think I'll put up a tree this year. I may be "recruited" to help Carol :wub with her tree - we'll see.
Bryan - like the one with the dogs.

Ok - who is this Carol person??
:blush
Dun dun DUUUUNNNNN!
Mark is so mysterious sometimes.
Oh - sorry for the tree thread hijack. We now return you to the Christmas tree discussion. Here's a pic of our tree from last year (and it will look very much like this again this year).
A lovely classic, Rico!
Always worth a thread hijack when the :wub smiley is used :)
All I can say is you have big old trees over there. I'm assuming you must all have big old houses to put them in too?
Not sure I've got one of ours - will rectify that later this year.

Come on now! I always thought that every house (semi-detached or other) in the UK was like the Tardis...nice and roomy on the inside. You mean BBC America has lied to us?!
OMG - I still remember my hotel room. Great place but tiny-tiny living space. Had to walk out into the hall just to change my mind :D

Most homes here in Arizona have 14" ceilings and are what we call a ranch style, so only one floor. Lot's of open space. Wasn't that way in my 1933 Dutch Colonial back in Connecticut, that had small rooms and low ceilings.
Well, I'm 6' 4" and I require all places I live in to have ceilings taller than my height - with shoes on too! ;)
I am working on My Christmas Tree, so hopefully in a few days I will have to done and can take a picture.

Of course...the BBC employs journalists just like every other media organisation. Don't trust them!

Couldn't put her next to the tree but she sent me this pic.
The kids have been petitioning us to start decorating - so once we do (in the next few days I would imagine) I'll post some pics.
We leave our tree up until after Orthodox Christmas in January (the wife was raised old school).
Here's one I just took of Kaylee by our tree.
Awwwww...
This will be a nice christmas gift...
Tomorrow night...9pm
Just bought our first fake tree.. 7 1/2 foot pre-lite.. was $300 got it for half price.. Will post pixs once it's up.. but for now check out the best topper ever!!!
Who will Yoda be in your 'Nativity Scene'? :)
Just put ours up yesterday, will take pics tonight!
Wondering if we could find one of those Yoda x-mas tree toppers around here. Is the light saber illuminated? :luke

Yeah the lightsaber lights up.. I'll post a pix as soon as I get it up tonight.
My kids would love that!
We've just been through all six films and my 4 year actually cheered when she got a cheap Yoda figure from McDonalds! I can only imagine what reaction a tree top Yoda would provoke.
OK, here is the Moyer family Christmas tree 09

Here's ours!
(Complete with kitty cat)
Nice stuff guys!
Rick, did you take that picture hanging from the cieling?! Looks great!
Joe, love the blue lights!
Yeah, Fran wanted to go "blue and silver" this year. We bought the blue lights and mixed them in with our old set of yellowish 'white' lights. We tend towards more minimal trees for some reason.
Here's ours.. first year we have fake tree.. but it's one of our best looking.
You can see more pixs here... http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=355102&id=707225374&l=5d5859249c (http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=355102&id=707225374&l=5d5859249c)

We don't do Christmas trees but you all have some really nice ones this year!

That is one serious looking orange.....a Kirk orange would be surrounded by Orion slave girl green apples...
Captain Picard day?
oh, uh, yes, I'm a role model
I bet you are.
Thought I would start a topic for people to post photos of family gatherings. The big family go together this past Sunday - 37 of us in all with 10 who could not make it.
Another party on Christmas Eve and spending Christmas day with Carol and her family.
Here is a picture of Carol and I at the party Sunday. She is not a sci-fi fan but her daughter does play WoW and I did get Carol to watch BBT.
From there anything is possible... :vulcan
MERRY CHRISTMAS!!
And a Merry Christmas to you and yours as well!
Bringing the new 12 megapixel camera out to the inlaws tomorrow.
Also: Who's scruffy-looking?!
Nice shot Mark! Marry Christmas!
- whoops - Freudian slip! ;)

Hey I'm going to merge this topic with the Show us your Christmas Tree thread.. that way we can keep all our 2009 Christmas goodness together.
Here's a picture from our little family gathering at our house last night. Featured (left to right, front to back): Kaylee, Lynn, Grant (nephew), Stephen (son), Grandma (Lynn's mom Linda), Chloe (niece), me, then back row is Suzy (sister-in-law), Bob (Lynn's brother), and Eric (son).
Kaylee was helping us arrange where to sit for this pic! :porthos :roflmao
Nice pictures!!

Your making a real fashion statement with that tie Mr. Moyer. I like it! :biggrin
Blizzard let up after all, we were able to get out and have Christmas.
Oh, yeah, I've got to get everything plugged into this...

Here are some of our pics!
Well, the blizzard hit Oklahoma City pretty hard, but we were far enough away from it that we didn't get hit quite as hard and were able to get out and have Christmas as planned...
OKC has never got 14 inches of snow in one day, or from one storm in recorded history. We are not winter storm people. We can deal with tornados, thunderstorms, heat waves even wildfires. But Okies don't deal with ice very well!
Kenobi's first Christmas
Great pics everyone! Kenobi looks very cute!
