A few of my friends here know that I have not been feeling well lately. At the end of September I got the H1N1 flu virus and ever since then I have not really felt well. So, I go back to the doctor and complain and they do some blood tests. I find out for a second time that my thyroid is not functioning properly. So, I have to get back on my thyroid medicine. BUT, the doctor decides to do some more blood work to rule out other causes because I have been so run down and tired. I can't even work 4 hours without feeling like I'm spent and have absolutely no energy left. Well, today I got the blood results back and it seems that because my immune system was compromised from the H1N1 flu I somehow acquired Epstein Barr Virus (Mononucleosis for you that don't know).
I'm glad to finally have a diagnosis and know that I'm not crazy and it's not in my head, which some of my local friends have implied, and that I really am sick. Fortunately for me my lawn service business is winding down for the season and so I should be able to rest up and recover in a month or two and be back to my normal youthful vigor. I was beginning to think there was something really seriously wrong with me but I'm relieved to find out otherwise.

Wow, Kevin, I will be praying for you. I am glad they figured things out. HANG IN THERE FRIEND!
watch lots of Trek, that always helps me! :) Oh and listen to Merry Trekmas, it's about that time you know!
Something to be thankful for at Thanksgiving!
While you might not be well, now you know why and can be treated correctly. Good news!
I'm glad you went there and they figured out what's wrong with you. It's good the season allows you to rest and heal while keeping you business. Get well soon! :)
Hope you feel better soon. My recipe for getting better from just about anything: eat good foods, get lots of sleep, talk to friends, do things you love, and laugh a lot. Hang in there!
Thanks everyone! Your words are much appreciated.
Your words Rico are pretty much the way I live anyway, except the lots of sleep bit. :)
Kevin
Hope you get better very soon. Relax, watch some of your classic films and eat well.
That sucks, Kevin, but at least you know what it is and it will go away, just takes a few months. Remember back in the day when Mono was the "kissing disease"?! At least that's what they told us so that we wouldn't misbehave as teenagers. Yeah, that didn't work. ;)

Yea...I do remember that Bryan and it still doesn't work! LOL
Thanks guys!

Best of Luck Kevin, hopefully with the rest you will recover in good time. Must be a relief to know what exactly you are suffering from.

Thanks Jeff! It is a relief. You know how your mind can start dreaming up all kinds of things and I was beginning to think that I might not be long for this world the way I have been feeling.
