no, not as good as the one u have now... but u have some good ideas... i dont really like the LCARS layout for websites... the layout u have now looks more official...
and the noise from the little LCARS screen is really annoying... it sounds like a cricket...
Hey Rico... love the new website, unlike Picard I really like the LCARS style, but I do agree that you should re-think the sound..or at least have a option to turn it off.

The LCARS sound is from the flash animation. I am trying to find a graphic that has no sound. Just a placeholder for now.

Thanks spidey - nice to see ya! I'm trying to make it quicker and more compatible. More work to do on it still. I should have it "LIVE" in the next week or so.
Looks better than the original site. I havent really tried making an Lcars site before. Was the layout made in Dreamwaever or did you use joomla?
Joomla actually looks like a pretty good CMS.
A few suggestions. Make the title banner text more Lcars-ish. I would also remove the visitor map and some of the flickr images to another page or make a link to a pop up window to display it. These pictures kinda throw off the Lcars feel.
It's in Joomla yeah. It's a pretty neat little tool. I'm still deciding on what to keep on the mainpage and what to put in a submenu. Joomla has a lot of flexibility that I like.

spock, the pink ones seem a little too bright... but yeah... I really like the whole LCARS idea if we get it to work... the problem with LCARS is that it usually doesnt end up looking aesthetically pleasing... maybe you could try making some LCARS with a blue button layout... that would look pretty cool... not completely like the excelsior from the kirk movies though... more a TNG style layout but with more blue and less pink... what do u think?
I've been thinking of tweaking the colors a bit. Let me see what I can do.
Oo Flashy.I skipped reading every post, so forgive me if this has been said, but the Lcars pictures at the top and bottom look too much like pictures because the colour is different from the background, you should try to change the background to compensate, or the background of the pictures.
