It is with great sadness that Edward Woodward has passed away. It's devestating news for me as I grew up with this legend and named my rpg character after one of his roles. Only yesterday enjoyed the whole series of The Equalizer.
Very very sad news
I am very sorry to hear that.
As you can see my avatar had been Edward for a very long time and I feel like I've lost a big chunk of my geeky life.
Yeah, I saw that. What was your favorite role of his?
Well I love Callan ( Joseph D,Callan my RPG is named after him) and I adore The Equalizer. He was also a fantastic singer and had quite a few records out in the 60's and 70's. I guess he'll be remembered mainly as in the wicker man but for me he'll always be David Callan.
The role I saw him in most recently was that of the techno-Mage he played in one episode of Crusade (the Babylon-5 spin off). As I remember, his son played the main Mage in the series so it was interesting see the two together.
He was the Equalizer for me also. He was the ghost of christmas present in the Christmas Carol as well.
Bit of a tribute with a song he recorded, great voice as well.

Such a shame. I was a big fan of 'The Equalizer' back in the day when a was realy to young to be watching such a show.
