Title: Boy in a run-away-balloon
Post by: Bromptonboy on October 15, 2009, 04:39:48 PM
I am soooo happy there was happy ending to this story.  My heart was in my mouth as I saw that balloon tearing through the air - I couldn't help but think of own 7 year old.

Just saw the story on NBC News. So the family was on "Wife Swap", the Dad was with the kid supposedly when the balloon took off, but then the kid was just in his room? B.S. This is guy should be arrested. His "press conference" was the most disingenuous thing I have seen in a while. MEDIA WHORE.

What I was hearing is that it was a lie or prank from the beginning.  This is not what I call a happy ending.

Wow, I hope it wasn't.  They sound like something of a geek family.  If they staged this, someone should have to pay big time.

I saw a clip from the family interview on NBC, A bit embarrassing to say the least, maybe more so then this whole Balloon fiasco.

...and it's now confirmed a hoax. What a nut job this father is.

He is certifiable, that is for certain.  I would say lock both parents up for this miserable hoax, but then those kids would be hurt.

....hmm...maybe it would be better for them to be away from insane parents.

I heard on NPR this am that the family was trying to create a stir in order to secure a reality show deal. Apparently both the mother and father are also actors. Screwy.
