This topic started out as a reply on another thread where I was lamenting at how many great shows there are right now that I consider "can't miss", in other words shows that I would be really upset if I didn't see on or really close to air date. I'm finding it really hard to fit everything in these days because of how much I am enjoying new shows and returning favorites. I'm curious to see other people's lists on here. Remember these are not shows you just kind of like, but shows that you would freak out about and consider larceny if you missed an episode. Here's my list, including shows on now and shows that are coming soon:
The Office
It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia
Dexter
Fringe
Lost
Curb Your Enthusiasm
Chuck
24
Breaking Bad
Burn Notice
Big Love
Californication
Survivor (well my wife would freak out and make me miserable if we missed this one)
Please post yours!
Clone Wars
Show's I watch with my wife:
The Amazing Race
Survivor
Hell's Kitchen
The Dog Whisperer

Man, you still have time for WoW and a weekly podcast? *bows*
LOL! Well, a fair number of those shows are not currently airing (about 7 of them are off-air now). Oh, and I don't play WOW very much. Heck, it took me almost 5 years of playing WOW to get one character to level 80!
Ha ha, I was just teasing, and I know it would be a prerequisite for you to have a pretty broad base of experience with current media for your great podcast to remain relevant!
I find it really hard to balance all these great shows, along with getting in some time gaming, and of course work and spending enough quality time with my young family. I think I get about four hours sleep a night on average.
TIVO helps a great deal (an hour show is about 42 min. after skipping commercials). I really only watch one or two shows each evening on average. Even find time for a movie or two as well on some days. I don't game as much as I used to and my boys are at college so the demands on my time are much less - except for the whole job hunting thing. ;)
Lost
Curb Your Enthusiasm
Battlestar Galactica
Entourage
Hung
House Hunters International
My list,
Big Bang Theory
Chuck
Warehouse 13
The Alaska Experiment
Mythbusters
Glee
Fringe
The Office
Survivorman
Eureka
Dollhouse
Sanctuary
Monk
American Dad
Won't say Stargate Universe or Flash Forward yet, but there's a high chance they will be added to the list when I've seen more.
Holy Moly! You guys watch an awful lot of TV shows! We currently are following
NCIS
NCIS Los Angeles - Might drop this one if it does not improve
Flash Forward
Stargate Universe - The jury is still out here. I might drop this
Legend of the Seeker - This is a take it or leave it for me. It just has not grabbed me to be a must see but I have watched every episode so far.
That's it! I find very little on TV worth my time. I'd much rather watch a classic movie or our Star Trek DVDs.
Kevin

Is anyone hopping on the "House" bandwagon with me?

Yep! I'm a huge fan of Hugh and House.

"House" was on my list. I've watched it from the first episode and all of them since. Excellent show.
Yeah it is a great show. I really enjoyyed his character development throughout the series. I was affraid the show would get cheezy in the fourth season. But every season since has kept me hooked. I also like that they keep a nice balance between the episode story and the seasons story.
We DVR:
The Daily Show
The Colbert Report
NCIS
Fringe
Warehouse 13
Defying Gravity
Mythbusters
House Hunters International
Good Eats
America's Test Kitchen/Cook's Illustrated (on PBS... great resource)
Good Buy, Bad Buy
All CSIs (but multitask during NYC and Miami)
L&O Criminal Intent (again, multitask)
L&O SVU (multitask)
Star Trek TOS
House (multitask)
Bones (multitask)
Psych
Monk (somewhat pleased, however, that it's the last season... he's starting to get a bit irritating)
The Office (Brit & U.S.)
Big Bang Theory
Burn Notice
Royal Pains
In Plain Sight
Heroes (just the guys; I don't watch)
Clone Wars (just the guys again)
Monty Python anything when I see it, but I often skip through what I've already seen 30 times already
The occasional Bollywood, samurai, and John Wayne movie (wouldn't it be something if John Wayne starred as a samurai in a Bollywood flick??)
We have lots of hours of crap on the DVR. We don't have a lot of time to watch tube, especially ChadH. I have it on when I'm doing paperwork or putter-cleaning. And, I love the skip-ahead feature. Some shows have so little substance or repeat themselves so often (HGTV programs especially) that I can "watch" a half-hour show in less than ten minutes. I often wish that I could watch at a faster speed with audio; hopefully Dish will add that feature soon. That, and a quick-edit feature so you can keep the four minutes of a show that you want, and not have to eat up your storage space with a lot of crap (one of the boys has 30 hoursused because of a single four-minute song in each program... irritating!!!!)
Ah, television.
~katzekitty
Katze you're very descriptive, but you forgot "Batman the Brave and the Bold", "Fight Japan" and any and all TNG, Voyager, Enterprise, and DS9 episodes the TV Gods care to bestow upon us. :)
*EDIT* P.S. Thanks for listing all that Katze. You da bawm!
You guys must have quite the drive on your PVR.

Quite true, I totally neglected that damned cartoon. :)
And Fight Japan. How could I forget the emotive Robert Cline talking with so much passion about kid sumo wrestlers and stuff (this is another of ChadH's shows).
I didn't include the other Star Trek serieseses because they're not showing "new to me" episodes anymore, if any at all right now :( We have the one TNG left... then what'll we do?!?!?!? No more "Riker's got a li'l captain in 'im" cracks... no more Data is "fully functional" reminders... no more repeating in Picardesque voice "Numbah Won"... no more Wesley onesies...
*sigh*

We're pretty thorough about clearing stuff out right away after it's been viewed.
At the moment, a fairly short list:
Stargate Universe
Warehouse 13
Flash Forward
Sanctuary (starts today)
Dollhouse (probably, when it comes back)
Heroes (if it comes back)
Merlin
Dr Who (whenever it's on)
I'll add Red Dwarf when it comes back again!
For the longest time I've been re-running through TNG, DS9 and VOY as Virgin1 have been running an episode a night forever. They've only just broadcast the end of VOY (7 more episodes to watch) and then its all done - so, more viewing time is just about to be freed up each week.
