Title: Podcast #243 - Live 4th Anniversary
Post by: Rico on September 06, 2009, 01:24:52 PM
The live 4th Anniversary podcast show is up now.  This was fun and it was nice to have someone riding "shotgun" for a show (thanks Mark).  I hope those watching had a good time.  Thanks for supporting the podcast and being the best forum members around!  Much more fun to come this year & beyond!

Good fun to watch although Ustream seemed to have some...issues. I look forward to listening to the final result to hear what I missed.

Streaming is not perfect with any site.  Depends on many factors.  My connection (which is pretty good usually), general net traffic, the encoding site, your connection, and so on.  Until everyone is wired with much better connections, there will be lag and issues occasionally.  I find I can watch things streaming pretty well normally.  I've tried a few different services and they all are about the same.  Maybe next time I'll try Justin.tv and see how that works out.  I might just stream me doing a "normal" podcast sometime too.

Fun show so far Rico!  THANKS!

Here is the song- you can follow this link for it in Stereo Goodness!
http://www.christrocks.com/parody (http://www.christrocks.com/parody)

Here are the Lyrics:
Spock's Brain
To the tune of Ozzy Ozbourne's Crazy Train
Rick Moyer

Beam Aboard!  Hahahahahaha
eyemorg...  morg morg morg morg

Crazy, but that's just the show
Renewed a third Season
the ratings so low

Lady, in purple clothes
Ion propulsion
To make her ship go

Apparently without feeling
The first officer's why they came
Some crazy looking lady just stole Spock's Brain
Some crazy looking lady just stole Spock's Brain

Let's go

On Glacial 6 planet
The party beams down
Found Giants with leg warmers
And an underground town

McCoy rigs the Vulcan,
to respond like a borg
The men are all questioned
by the women called Morg

Ladies with big bracelets
Of pleasure and pain
We're going on a search for Spock's Brain
We're going on a search for Spock's Brain

I know your medalla ambalangoda sings
You gotta get back in your head
Yeah-eh

Waist bands of pain for
The red button makes dead
McCoy gets the knowledge,
and works on Spock's head

Maybe, in three hours of work
The Doctor repairs him
watched by Scotty and Kirk

The nerves there's a million
but with Spock's help he's not lame
We just went on a trip and we found Spock's Brain
We just went on a trip and we found Spock's Brain

I should just acknowledge the Anomaly influence on my 'podcast as a car' references in the comment I sent in. I seem to remember Jen and Angela doing the whole car thing a year or two ago when they took things over.

On the iTunes front, yes we have a version of iTunes over here but I did a search while listening and couldn't find the documentary listed anywhere so I suspect it's not available on iTunes over here. I wouldn't have got the answers in time anyway...
