Title: B&W London Photos
Post by: celestialteapot on August 30, 2009, 08:57:50 AM
(I've been rather absent lately, my apologies)

These were taken with my Olympus OM20 SLR, using a Kodak Plus-X 125 B&W film (ISO 125). I called it my 'mysterious roll of film' since it sat around my flat for a couple of months (since about Feb I think) before I got round to taking it to get developed (which cost £17 much to my annoyance!) These were some of the more decent shots that I got off the roll (scanned with a Canon N670U).

These are awesome.  Thank you for sharing.  I really like the last one, and the one with all the people.  Very cool.

Is that St. Pauls in the background of the first picture?   Neat pics.

No, it's a church in Greenwich which I'm afraid I don't know the name of.

Sadly, I got sidetracked into trying to name the station.

I failed.

These are really great - and B/W gives them a good deal of character and added charm.

Was that a yellow filter on the third picture?

No, I think I had a 52mm skylight filter on the lens (not sure, it might have been a 49mm). I've got a couple of colour filters but to be honest I've never actually thought about using any.

If you have a red filter, use it to shoot clouds, old buildings, tombstones, and railroad cars.  Awesome stuff.

Thanks for the tip, might try that this weekend! :)
