anyone use a comic reader for iphone / itouch ?
I found 3 that look inserting
myComics
ComicZeal
Comic Reader Mobi
and wanted to know if anyone had any exprence with these aps, or could suggest another...
maybe a free one.
No iPhone here so I don't use those, but I use Comical on the PC to read electronic versions of comics. I've used Comic Reader before too.
Based on reviews and price I went with the program Comic Zeal, Last week it was on sale for 99cents, however today it cost $3.99
How often do apps go on sale ?

There are a few ways you can sort you boxes of comics , I like the first one
(http://i119.photobucket.com/albums/o160/drew1515/comic%20book%20reader/7.jpg)
Once you chose a box it content is displayed (there's also 4 choices as to how you want the content displayed) There is no way to make sub-boxes (sub-folders) yet
but I'm told that option will be available in a future release

flipping the pages is done by double tapping in the lower left for back and lower right for forward

you can choose to view in portrait or landscape, I like portrait because you can see the whole page.

you can zoom in by doing a single tap on what you want to zoom in on , then you can drag your finger around to scroll around or you can single tap again to zoom out
you can also pinch and spread to zoom manually

double tapping anywhere but the lower corners brings up a info / option screen
That's pretty cool, but isn't it hard to read the text without zooming in all the time? Also, is any comic company actually electronically selling their comics in this format yet, or are they from, um, other sources?

Several companies are selling their comics digitally. The iPhone apps are the latest in the group. Marvel has a subscription based online comics system. Longbox is also a online distributer of comics in addition to the comics provided through iTunes for the touch and phone apps who have started getting exclusive deals for some of their comics.

it is hard to read without zooming, but zooming is fast, tap zoom in, tap zoom out. its kinda hard to explain without seeing it, you can target your zoom, where you tap on the screen is the part of the page you zoom in in, a page is usually made up of 4 or 5 panels
and I just zoom in from panel to panel.
quickly looking through the app store, the only big name comic company I see is IDW, there Star Trek Archives sets look good
most are priced at 99cents
most of what I have now is um, other sources., but now that I have kinda a mobile comic book store in my phone im going buy some after I run through what I have.
