Yes I've seen some of his before.

If you see them photographed from any other angle, they're really wierd to look at.

We looked at some of this in one of my art classes last year in college. It's pretty cool stuff.

Forced perspective, similar to what Peter Jackson used in LOTR to make same sized actors in the same scene look different in height.
