Title: Animated Green Lantern Movie
Post by: moyer777 on July 29, 2009, 10:26:11 AM
Andrew bought the animated Green Lantern Movie that came out yesterday and we watched late last night.  GREEN LANTERN FIRST FLIGHT

For those that love Green Lantern, you will probably dig the movie.  Without any spoilers, I learned a great deal about the whole "Lantern" storyline.  It was good, it took me back to my days as a kid.

Good stuff if you ask me.

Wow, that was Victor (Jack Bristow) Garber as Sinestro.  Didn't even recognize him.

I actually picked this up Tuesday.  I'm looking forward to checking it out.  With this & DC's Green Lantern comic event going on right now, I think GL will be top of mind for me for a while.

My copy just arrived today from Amazon and I am really looking forward to seeing it. I would have watched it tonight but my wife saw it and asked if I could wait to see it when she could watch it too! It's wonderful having a wife who loves most of the same things you do! LOL

My wife and I watched this tonight and I really did love it! Great story! Great animation! Great voice acting! In fact I can't think of anyting I didn't like about it. It seems that with every animated film DC keeps upping the bar. I also watched the preview for Batman/ Superman - Public Enemies and that has really got me excited!

I loved the movie all except for the character assassination of Bodikka

I liked this too - pretty much.  But I wanted to see a bit more on how a lantern's real power comes from their force of will.  That's what made Hal Jordan such a great Lantern in the first place - his will power.  And I wanted to see them mention at least their little individual batteries to charge their rings off.  Overall, they did a nice job but I just wanted a little bit more.
