The new podcast is up covering "Quantum Leap." I enjoyed revisiting this series a lot and hope everyone enjoys the podcast. Thanks to those that sent in comments and other audio work.

Just downloading this one Rico. Really looking forward to listening to this on the way to work tomorrow.
Cool. I really enjoyed talking about this series for the podcast. Lots of great memories of great episodes!
Going to go star watch and listen now.
Oh boy! ;)
Thanks for this one.
It's odd but I'd never got the idea that he was taking his body with him - I always thought he was simply appearing in the bodies of the people he 'visited' but you're right, the title sequence did show him disappearing.
What I can't remember is whether the people who he replaced (and who appeared in the accelerator while he was in their place) were supposed to appear to Al and everyone else as if they were him.
Another comment on the final episode, having now heard the clip again, is that it would be interesting to see if he had now gained control over his leaping to some degree - the fact that he went back and 'sorted' Al tends to indicate that perhaps a measure of control was now available to him.
I'm looking forward to your new weekly Treks in QL episode reviews :)
Yes - the bodies were swapped when Sam leaped. There was an "aura" or something around them that made people see the other person. Even Al didn't see Sam, he would see whoever he had replaced. And of course, back in the quantum leap chamber the leapee would look like Sam to those there.
The way I viewed the end was Sam accepted his fate. He says that in the clip I played. He says he has to leap and tell Beth about Al being a POW. So that shows that Sam can now control his leaps and also that he wants to continue to help people and make the world better. I thought it was a very noble ending.
I was a huge fan of this show. Loved the podcast Rico, thanks!
Really enjoyed this podcast and loads of memories came flooding back. If sam helped Al out, then did Al do the job he did at the beginning of Quantum leap if not that means Sam would not have had his help, ergo he wouldnt have jumped....timey wimey thing ha ha
Great show and excellent piece from vartok, i didnt know how much a good singer Scott is. Really enjoyed this and i think i'll listen to th epodcast again. Awesome.

I like it better now I've heard it again. As I think I said, I just remembered it as being 'odd' without much of the detail behind it. It still raises certain 'mystical' questions about who, how and why but 'knowing everything' isn't nevessarily always best.
It's a big plus that they got to get a 'final' episode out. How often does that happen! I wish I'd stuck it out through the entire fifth season now.
Well, they are all out on DVD now so you can catch up!
Final episode on Sci-Fi over here tomorrow night. Time to DVR and watch again I think.
Listened to the podcast last week helping Chad with the remodel, and am now catching up on the episodes themselves on my lunch-hours. Love the ones when he's a woman; really shows his talent. Especially when the woman proceeds to kick some guy's ass :o) An inspiration to us all!
