Title: Trek "Making of" video
Post by: wraith1701 on July 09, 2009, 01:48:29 PM
A member on another forum posted a link to this.  Pretty cool footage from the making of Star Trek: The Motion Picture.  Some neat footage of the Enterprise Refit filming model.  :)

I don't recall ever seeing this before and I thought I had seen most every doc out there.

Very cool stuff.  Seems like it might be from a TV documentary and I see tracking going on indicating it's from a video tape source.

My favourite part was the tinny background music and tracking issues. My god we used to watch stuff like that all the time, didn't we?.

My dad still has a working Beta machine. He actually has Trek 1 - 4 on Beta! I used to watch Star Trek 2 so much the image started turning red. Is it oxidizing or something?

Technology is amazing, isn't it?

Great footage. The model makers attention to detail is really interesting to watch. You can tell that those people really enjoy their work.
