Title: Tried "BING" yet?
Post by: Rico on June 08, 2009, 05:29:46 PM
Anyone tried www.bing.com (//http://) much yet?  Microsoft's new search engine.  I've played around with it a bit.  It has a few cool features and seems pretty quick.  Take a look.

I tried it over the weekend.  I like that it reads your IP to get your geographic area.  This must be interesting when using a proxy server.   I liked it - always good to have another search engine.

It's very slick. I like it.

Wow, that was quick, I did a search on one of my podcasts, and the results were pretty interesting.

Looks good but it can't be IP based. We're effectively on a French network at work so our IP addresses register as French yet this still defaults to UK english results. Google and the like default to French unless explicitely searched on the .co.uk site.
