Ok, the special guest hosted cast by Meds chatting all about that awesome, cult classic series from the 60's called "The Prisoner" is now up and ready for download. I want to thank Meds, Vartok, Woody, and everyone that helped on this. You did a great job Meds covering the show and I know everyone is going to have a blast listening. And do make sure to listen even if you don't know this TV series. I think by the end of the cast you will want to find the show and see it for yourself.
"Be seeing you!"

Thanks for letting me have a bash at sitting in the big chair for one week. Hope eveyone enjoys it. :)
Your very welcome Meds! Great podcast!
This was an excellent podcast! Meds, nice job. I loved the music, the information, the clips and the Vartok segments were spot on. I learned so much about the program that I now have to watch the series. THANK YOU!
Seriously, good stuff. Thanks Rico for having Meds on.
Thank you so much Rick. Was starting to get a bit worried as no one bar Rico has said anything. Phew ha ha
Sorry, haven't listened yet! That's tomorrows treat :)

Well...sometimes you'll catch me washing up to TrekSF on Sunday evening but it's recently pushed over into Monday.
Great Job on the Podcast Meds. It has been a long time since I had watched the Prisoner, so it was nice to remember it. You explained a lot of it that I may have missed when I watched it, and brought up a few things I had forgotten. Thanks for covering this great show.
Thanks for taking the time to put this together, Meds! I'm looking forward to checking it out! :)
Great job, Med! I have never seen The PRisoner but I am certainy interested now. So why did he quit? :)
Yay! Waffle On In Sci Fi worked very well. Loved the music, very remeniscent of the Prisoner theme itself...which I'd certainly never realised was by the same guy as the DW theme! Thanks for that too Vartok.
Loved it but is that now one less topic for a regular Waffle? Or will this go out in your feed too?

No Mike i thought about it but i'll do another version next year. Thanks for the support everyone.
Great Podcast!
Nice work Meds and Vartok!
And of course I laughed and smiled when Patrick interrupted your opening with "I am not a Number!" Always enjoy your in depth acting cast background, and behind the scenes work that you put into all of your TV reviews, Geeks love intimate knowledge of their shows. And you never disappoint. :metallica:
And of course Vartok can always be trusted to scour the net and garage sales for music treasures and information on their creators. Thank you, for your hard work. :thumbsup
And personally I think the PM version of the Prisoner theme works great for the opening and end credits of the show, but I would have loved the 'Alternate Theme' as the theme for 'the Village'. I think it would have fit nicely, and would make a interesting juxtaposition to the more frantic opening and closing music.
Now I need to find this show on DVD so I can reacquaint myself with it,... it has been 20 years since I have seen it.

I know I sent you guys both an email, but I wanted to say it again on the boards. Well done! I had no idea what the Prisoner was all about but now I want to check it out thanks to you Meds. Very informative. :)
I always thought Vartok was a music teacher or something...his contributions are always so detailed and well informed. Turns out he says he played the trumpet in Jr. High and that's the extent of his music skills. I think you add a lot to the shows with your segments, even if you did just play the trumpet as a youngling. :)
Indeed nice work Meds! Also informative and well produced segment as usual Vartok. I had literally never heard of this show before.
Thank you so much for all your kind words it was great fun to do and i could have gone on for about another twenty minutes. Vartok did a great job he spent over six hours compiling his section and he really did polish the episode off. i'm passionate about the Prisoner and it was a pleasure to talk about it. thanks again Rico for the opportunity to geek out about it :)
Thanks Hawkeye Medsand Vartok for another excellent podcast. I haven't watched The Prisoner in twenty or more years. At that point in time, I couldn't really get into to it. After listening to your podcast, I feel the need to pick up a copy of The Prisoner and give it another chance. I really enjoyed Vartok's music section. I think I'm the only American that recognized The Mouse on the Moon theme. Once again, great podcast!
If anyone is interested in knowing more about The Prisoner then head to a great free fan based web site called the un mutual website. They helped me design my own Prisoner jacket.
There is something just very cool about the music in this series and other ones of this era. I think I've mentioned this before, but TV background music used to be a lot bigger - more dramatic. It seems to be coming back on certain shows (especially JJ's stuff like Alias, LOST, Fringe, etc.). And I'm happy to see that. All my favorite shows have almost always had great background music.
I have 6 cd's of the Prisoner. If anyone would like some great background tracks i'm more than happy to convert them to mp3 and email some.
OHHH - I'd love to get a sample of some those tracks! Like an extended theme music sequence or whatever you think is good Meds.
Ok mate. Give me a few days and i'll get them to you.
Thanks for the music Meds!
Glad you got them ok rico. :)
Jr. High Jen? Vartok is a semi-solid intelligent life form from planet Scurrilea! With interest in human music culture. Of course, Vartok is thankful humans are accepting of his humble works.

Vartok, you rock. And I mean that in the most granite sense.

Okay, okay...galactic grade school? ;) I forgot which grade you said you were in. :D
Finally got to listen to the podcast. Now I'm very interested in the Prisoner. Any tips on where I can watch it?
