A guy over on the prop forum has torn apart his movie phaser and is working on motorizing the stun/kill turn setting.  Check it out...

It would make them a fair amount more expensive.  Actually, I kind of like the way Playmates made them spring loaded to swivel.  But a motor is cool too.

That is pretty sweet! I'm hoping that one of the prop replica companies puts together something like this.

I wish they springed both ways tbh.  Would have made them that much cooler.
