Has anyone heard anything about this movie. I just came accross the trailer. It looks pretty cool!

This looks awesome! I wish there were more good sci-fi/horror movies. One of my favorite genres.

I just saw this today.  I didn't care for it myself.  There are the kernels of some good sci-fi ideas, but I think they were badly executed.  If you liked 'Event Horizon' -  you will most likely enjoy this movie.

That reminds me of my wife's description of Event Horizon.

"Event Horizon is a great movie if you've never seen another movie in your life."

Saw it yesterday - I thought the production value was amazing for the reported $40M spent to make this film (ie, the space ship sets).  I also dug the general setup plot line, but it was confusing to follow (I caught up on the full plot line on Wikipedia) and was not a simple sci-fi flix like the new Star Trek.  It garnered low 30s on Rotten Tomatoes (probably good crowd of typical movie reviewers), and currently a 7.2/10 on the IMDB (probably sci-fi fans like us).

I really liked the lead female Nadia (as in hubba-hubba) played by Antje Traue (German), Dennis Quaid was OK, and the 3rd male character was pretty decent.  It ended like it could have sequels but the rating of 6th for its opening weekends seems to put that in doubt.

My rating?  I give it a 5/10.

You are spot on about the starlet!  Her I liked.  Your 5 out of 10 is a fair assessment IMHO.
