Today will mark the third year that I have been a member of the Treks In Sci-Fi forum! :cheering
After sending several emails back in the day, Rico asked me to join up...I was hesitant. The only board I was a member of was a tech site called Actionscript.org. I didn't go there to make friends, I was just there to figure out how to tweak my Flash code. I had never been apart of an online social network until I took the chance and signed up for Trek SF. I never imagined this place would become so important to me.
Here's my very first post in the Roll Call thread:
Hi all. My name's Jenny, call me Jen. I wrote Rico a few weeks ago and he read it on his podcast...so, its probably not necessary to go into more detail. Love the show Rico, keep up the good work. This week's podcast was particularly good. I loved the fight scene in the bar between Scotty and the Klingons in the Trouble With Tribbles. Reminds me of one of my favorite classic (non sci-fi) movies...The Quiet Man. Instead of Scottish bar fights, it features a really good Irish one. Check it out, when you need a little break from sci-fi.

Anyway, being a member of the boards has led to many great friendships and projects that I would have NEVER attempted had I not been active here (RPG, Anomaly, The Ready Room). Kudos to Rico for creating this forum! :cheers
Congrats Jen! This place would absolutely not be the same without you. Thank you for all your efforts with the RPG, the Ready Room, Anomaly, your amazing art and for just being a great and supportive person.
Here's to another 3 years!
And the forums, RPG, The Ready Room, and my life would not be the same without you here. :)
:cheers :cheers :cheers
Happy Anniversary, Jen! YOU ROCK.
My 3 year will be this August 2nd, I'll have to remember that!
Jen - you are a valued member here, very talented, and a good friend. I'm very happy that you have stuck around all this time. As others have said, the place wouldn't be the same without your many contributions. Congrats on three fun years!
Congratulations. Three years of membership is one thing. Three years of active membership is something completely different.
Here's to the next three!
Yahoo. Happy third year anniversary Jen, you are a great and brilliant person (and a honury English woman now ;) ). CONGRATULATIONS.

Congrats Jen. ;D
It's such a great place, I feel like I've been here for years already even though it is only months.

I have to agree with what everyone else has said-- This place wouldn't be the same without you!
Congrats on the Anniversary Jen, that is a great milestone. Your efforts help make this a great forum to be a member of.

Don't get me started on you, cutie pie! :blush
Jen, you are very cool. I am so glad that you have been such a wonderful influence and part of the Treks In Sci Fi community. I love your creativity, your humor and your talents are too numerous to list here....
I seriously believe that someday we will all see your name on the cover of books. That's how good of a writer your are.
Your art is fantastic, but I think I love your geeky girl perspective.
Most of all you are fun, positive and a blessing.
Amy and I are blessed by you and Dave's friendship too.
Thanks for being our friend!
HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!
Herzlichen Glueckwunsch! :)
Thank you everyone. :D
