For the actors credit? or to be on IMDb?

For acting - not IMDB.  Obviously IMDB has a lot more than just actors on it.

That's interesting. I've always believed (wrongly apparently) that anyone working in television would enjoy the odd appearance in front of camera. I've no basis for believing that, of course.

I guess it's simply that I'd enjoy it if I worked in the industry. I'm a techie but the odd cameo would be fun.

When I was  younger (i.e. 18 or 19!) a group of us had great plans to do that sort of thing ourselves. We spent quite some time outlining what we were going to do but never got anything together. It sort of died out as we all moved away, went to University etc.

There's still a part of me that would love to have done that.

I find as in my films I need usually need more actors that I have to act in them, but I've come to realize I would much rather be behind the camera seeing the action as it plays out from a proper director's point of view instead of having the get into the character and thinking from the acting point of view. I feel my place isn't so much in front of the camera, but behind.
