This is an interesting interview.  Too bad about the logo in the middle.

I've dabbled with this a few times in the past.  Audible, etc.  Plus the $5 Sponsor the podcast is always available to promote yourself, your site, etc.

Brilliant podcast Rico, great job and thankyou so much for playing my promo. I so loved this episode, probably the best out of series 3.

I generally like the clip shows better, but this Trek episode lends itself very well to supporting a running commentary while it plays.

I've watched every Episode of Star Trek (TOS) many hundreds of times, if not more over the years so I take things for granted sometimes and it was fun to have little things pointed out that I hadn't thought about for 30 years.  Kinda refreshing!!

Thanks again, Rico!

To respond to Meds about the updated effects on this and other TOS episodes:

I am the very first person that would be upset if the look and feel of the episodes was changed.  The recreated effects are perfect.  They do not change the look & feel at all.  They merely correct mistakes introduced by 60's technology.  They are made to look more realistic, but are essentially the same.  I don't even think they are a reinterpretation.  They're just CGI recreations of identical scenes.  The new scenes have corrected movement, lighting, and detail.  Otherwise nothing has been added or removed that doesn't fit perfectly with the scene.  So really, you're not missing anything.  Watch the links Rico's included here, and that's all they've redone.  As for the remastering, they've removed the scratches & improved the color.

I love the remastered episodes. They did such a good job, the video matches so well if you hadn't seen TOS before you wouldn't know they had been redone.

Rico, another great show and I love Rick's new 'audio bites' to introduce the different sections of the podcast. I agree it is probably the best season 3 episode.

Thanks Rico.

Now I've heard the podcats I realise I have seen the episode but I don't know it well enough to form opinions etc. As such, a commentary show was exactly right for me for this one...or I could have watched it in the theatre of course.

It made my lunch very entertaining yesterday, thanks.
