Title: My job - my chemical....
Post by: Rico on January 14, 2009, 10:40:02 AM
I was thinking some of you might be interested to see kind of what I do at work.  This video was made a couple of years ago to showcase the paint stripping product I developed and got a patent on called "Recover."  You might even see a quick shot of me in this!

A bit higher quality....

Cool Rico! Oh, looks like the company firewall is keeping me from looking at your video. Guess I'll have to wait until I get home.

Yes, that worked. Neat Rico. Thanks for posting that. I think I did see you looking rather official in your lab coat...the lab coat that maybe outlawed by your company soon. :)

The chemical is all me.  Two patents.  The video was professionally done by an ad agency.

I bet the director said "Right look at your clip board, nod and write something down, dont look at camera". Great work Rico. I remember  about a 13 months ago before i signed up, googleing your name and a Rick Dostie came up saying patent applied for ..... and i thought that has to be Rico. And there we go. We could do with that stuff in our factory.

Very clever stuff (engineering-wise I mean).

I'm not sure about the way the add pushes it directly at the profit line but if you can do that sort of thing with no damage, I guess it's got to have direct value in that way.

Do you get anything personally from all of this? Our company pushes us for patentable ideas but I'm not sure that there's much of a personal incentive.

I think you should make a less corrosive compound for toddlers.  That would be cool.

Toddler dipping - like sheep dipping but...different. Yes, I can see parents would love a facility like that!

I would come in handy with my little one at the minute. She's covered in yogurt and fish fingers at the moment!

Hey maybe this would work on diapers, you could Recover them then reuse them, that would be very enviormentally friendly, not sure about the byproduct though

Let's just say the chemicals they used to remove paint with will give fish a third eye!

What, like Noranti on Farscape? I always wondered where that came from.

Or like the three eyed fish you sometimes see in "The Simpsons".
