This isn't related to a show, but just thought I'd share a piece of music I did while experimenting with a new softsynth I'd bought:

Great job Darmok, this would sound great at Tanagra! so how do you get involved with Moog synthesizers unless you had one years ago? Didn't realize people still work with these (or is it computer sythesized now?).
Thanks Vartok,
That was a virtual synth module by Arturia based on the old Moog modular synths. I learned synthesis on the physical version back in the late 70's (Moog Mark III). A friend of mine worked at the McGill electronic music studio and that was my in. We used the opportunity to experiment with music in different forms (which ended up as the work of Wally & Philbert (http://www.myspace.com/wallyphilbert)). Other synths I learned on were the ARP 2600, Synthi AKS and one-of-a-kind creations by Hugh LeCaine. I believe these analog machines helped give me a good understanding of sound. I'm really looking forward to delving deeper into the Moog plugin. Arturia also makes a virtual ARP 2600, which I hope I can get my hands on one day.
