Title: AvP Requiem <yuck>
Post by: Blackride on November 29, 2008, 12:44:54 PM
OK, I am a huge Alien movie fan and I finally brough myself to watch AVP Requiem on BluRay today. This was such a piece of junk I can't even express myself fully! The dialogue was horrid, the story was contrived, the actors were b-list, and did nothing for the overall Alien story line. Now I can see why James Cameron said that if they filmed this movie he would not consider coming back for Alien V. It's so embarrassing to watch.....

Done with my vent now :)

Yeah, but look at the great quality and high definition that you got to view it in. :)

You know I am also a huge Alien and have yet to see this for that very reason. Alien 3 was on last night and I really do like that one, but everything since has been bad.

I actually enjoyed the movie. I knew it was a B movie before going in so, it exceeded my zero expectations for it. With expectations out of the way, I didn't really get too invested in it.

I hear you on that, but the original ALIEN and Alien2 really amazed and terrified me, especially the Alien itself. I was fascinated by it as a kid and I can't stand to see that character ruined, which started right around Alien4 when they started growling and swimming and just not being so bizarre and  unique.

It wasn't the greatest movie, but I found it better than the previous Alien vs. Predator.  Still of course not in the same league as Alien or Aliens.

The growling stuff really turned me off in that movie plus I thought they used too much CGI for the Aliens themselves.

What is so funny is that by Alien4, they tried to make the best movie monster ever more frightening by making it more common!

Don't mess with perfection!

I saw the main 3 and then stopped after that. Sounds like a good move from what I see here.
