I ran into a few snags doing my most recent video and I thought I'd share a few things. If you want to convert video to a different format there are many ways out there to do it. Here's a link to one online method:

And another trick for Youtube is this:
Youtube has mp4 files in it already! You can download it with the DownloadHelper extension for Firefox.
Just add &fmt=18 to a youtube video url, then click on the v arrow next to the spinning DownloadHelper icon, and click video.mp4 to save the video already formatted for iPod and with better quality than the compressed flv files.
Hope some of this helps.
And if you change that to &fmt=22 it will download an HD 720p formatted video if it is available! If not it will default to the next best quality.
