Title: Planet of the Apes Blu-Ray Collection
Post by: Ktrek on November 18, 2008, 08:07:51 PM
Well, my wife allowed me to buy the Planet of the Apes Blu-Ray Collection during the Deep Discount 25% off sale which made the set around $69.00. I have not invested in many Blu-Ray films thus far because I'm satisfied with the quality of DVD for the most part. However, since I never invested in this set on DVD I thought it would be a perfect Blu-Ray investment.

I have only watched the first film so far and all I can say is WOW! :o :o :o The color and clarity of transfer is remarkable. As a sci-fi fan I just have to love this film. The whole premise of turning evolution Topsy Turvy is brilliant. The casting is great and the locations, set design and cast are fantastic.

The box set comes with all 5 films in the series. Each disc has loads of special features and the set comes with a beautiful 200 page full color book called 40-year Evolution of The Planet of the Apes. The only thing that could make this set any better would have been the inclusion of the TV series. In my opinion I think this is the best box set of 2008 to have been released. I hope some of you will get yourselves a copy before the Deep Discount sale ends. You won't be sorry!

Nice packaging. I am only a fan of the first movie personally but for a fan that looks really cool. I wish they would do that for Alien...

Long live Blue-Ray!
