Title: Watch The Skies
Post by: M-5 on September 28, 2008, 11:00:36 AM
Last night I watched a wonderful documentary on Turner Classic Movies call Watch The Skies.  It was narrated by George Lucas, James Cameron, Ridley Scott and Steven Spielberg.  This documentary brought back so many childhood memories.  I remember waiting for Friday night and Saturday afternoon to watch SciFi Theater.  There were so many good movie to watch.  I just wanted to know what was your favorite 1950's SciFi movie?

I don't think that I can narrow it down to one movie.  When Worlds Collide, War of the Worlds, Forbidden Planet and This Island Earth are my all time favorites

Out of all the originals I remember seeing, I liked War Of The Worlds the best.  The film holds up very well.  Forbidden Planet is a close second; the "invisible monster" kept me on the edge of my seat when I was a kid.  Plus, I think Robby the robot is cool.
