Yes there are way to many great episodes of TNG.. that list could be my top 100 episodes and I could fill it with ease.
i need to do an all day trek fest again soon i always watch an episode befour bed but there is nothing like watching almost a whole season in one go
am i the only person who does that?
Yeah you are talking to a room full of geeks here.. I'm sure we have all had our favorite TV show marathons.. I've done TNG ,Voy, DS9, V, Buffy, LOTR, Firefly just to name a few.
The Neutral Zone
Unnatural Selection
Best of Both Worlds pt. 1 & 2
Thine Own Self
Relics
The Measure of a Man
Devil's Due
Who Watches the Watchers?
Starship Mine
Clues
I put in The Neutral Zone because I found the temporal culture clash interesting. Devil's Due has the same underlying theme as Who Watches the Watchers but I found it more entertaining. Picard in Starship Mine was very interesting. More ruthless than usual.
psik
Ok, not especially in this order...
Season 1
Season 2
Season 3
Season 4
Season 5
Season 6
Season 7
:)
Really though...
The Neutral Zone
The big Goodbye
The Most Toys
The Measure of a man
Brothers
Relics
Rascals
Yesterday's Enterprise
Data's Day
The Inner Light
But all of them are good. Well maybe a couple of clunkers....
Man; so many to choose from...
As of this moment, my top 10 would be
The Inner Light
Yesterday's Enterprise
Best Of Both Worlds 1&2
Sins Of The Father :klingon
Redemption 1&2 :klingon
Reunion :klingon
Relics
Parallels :klingon
Lower Decks
Conspiracy
Damn, I have to change my list.
The Neutral Zone
Unnatural Selection
Best of Both Worlds pt. 1 & 2
Thine Own Self
Relics
The Measure of a Man
Devil's Due
Who Watches the Watchers?
Starship Mine
The Most Toys
Took out Clues and put in The Most Toys. That reminds me of Symbiosis. But what should I take out to put that in? It is hard to make comparisons when you like different episodes for different reasons.

QuoteBut all of them are good. Well maybe a couple of clunkers....
ROLFThis is the is a curious thing about sci-fi. In my opinion some people like episodes just because they have a lot of excitement. It doesn't matter that they don't really have anything to say about anything. What does
Best of Both Worlds have to say. If an enemy is coming to kill you you try to destroy him first. Big deal.
But science fiction is very much about what technology does to culture and what people decide to do with it which affects the culture. Consider that replicator technology. What would that do to any economic system? So I thought
The Neutral Zone was very interesting even though I know a lot of people would find it boring.
Here we are 39 years after the moon landing and most people can't figure out planned obsolescence is going on in cars even though Galbraith talked about it in 1959. What does that say about people's understanding of science and technology? But aren't most economists technological morons? I estimate Americans have lost FOUR TRILLION DOLLARS on depreciation of cars since 1995 but even in our supposed economics crisis the economists say nothing about it. I haven't been to an auto show in more than 30 years. I don't understand people that say they like sci-fi but have almost no practical understanding of science.
Watch the old TOS episode
The Cloud Minders and see if it isn't about economics. Spock was out of character and it was poorly done but what was it ABOUT?
Haven't you ever met any people like Kivas Fajo in
The Most Toys? They get their egos all wrapped up in their possessions and expect other people to be impressed. Very weird.

Measure of a Man
Yesterday's Enterprise
Relics
The Inner Light
Symbosis
Heart of Glory
Conspiracy
Unnatural Selection
Best of Both Worlds
Cause and Effect
There are a few more that I really liked.
Here's my top 10, today:
All Good Things...
Inner Light
Yesterday's Enterprise
Second Chances
The Most Toys
Best of Both Worlds
The Measure of a Man
Parallels
Pegasus
Sins of the Father
I was considering The Pegasus also. I think it is a great episode but I wanted to shoot Picard in the head at the end. Turning off the cloak in front of the Romulans was ridiculous.
LOL
I would have left some photon torpedoes inside the asteroid on a time delay. And flown off and let the asteroid blow up in the Romulan's face. Let them think I had blown up the ship rather than surrender. If their ship was damaged in the process, oh well. :old_bash:
psik
Good point.
I chose The Pegasus, because of the situation it put Riker in.
After I put my list together, I noticed that half of them were either Riker-centric or at least had Riker having to make tough decisions.
I'm glad to see "Relics" consistantly ranked high, but it may be that I'm part Geordi LaForge fanboy, and part "Old and Dirty Ships" fanboy, and that episode had both in spades.
Sadly, I'm not as familiar with TNG as I am Deep Space Nine, so it's hard to make a good "top ten" list for myself.
